I play this game very "hardcore" too, I have about 20 hours of play put into the game so far, never happened. 80% of game glitches come from scratched, or grimy disks, or the console itself, check around the fan and all sorts of places on the PS3 make sure there is no dust on any parts, check the bottom of the disk, if its grimy lightly blow on it and whipe it with a smooth cloth or shirt. if its scratched, hope to hell you have a warranty. Other than that, the game has never glitched on me.
