You can breathe in between the plucks, or on the plucks, and you can pluck it up and down to make a more rapid rythm rather than just up or down. You can use the tongue and lips to modulate the sound as well as the back of the throat. You can also do finger-tapping where you put a finger onto the reed while playing it, it kind of alters the pitch and sound.

Don't forget the part about pushing and pulling air over the spring while you play. It makes the harmonica effect and adds rhythm too if you change from inhaling to exhaling or vice versa in between plucks. You can use it for syncopation in which the plucking is the rhythm, and the actual tune can be slower than the plucking because the harmonica effect causes people to hear it more than the notes you pluck without it, so you can pluck steadily and use air to make the tune. :D
