The 2007-current Accords have a bit of a higher pitch rumble. Consulting with some of my peers we seem to be in agreement that the muffler should be able to handle just about everything you can throw at it, except really high revs. You could end up with a lot of back pressure. It just won't be tuned to the engine.
I work in quality control for the company that build most Honda exhaust systems, and would just like to warn you that the Civic model mufflers are nowhere near as tough as the Accord mufflers. Did you have to move the mounting pins or take part of the Pipe B to connect it to the rest of the exhaust?
The new (2007-present) 4 and 6 cylinder Accord mufflers have a bit higher pitch, but the 6 cylinder models have an internal valve to let more gas by when they reach a certain amount of horsepower so you don't get a lot of back pressure at higher speeds. The civic muffler should be fine unless you run it really hard, it doesn't have the bypass valve, so you may end up with more back pressure. I told some of the guys on the line about this video, and they are going to check it out!

do the new accord mufflers sound like this one? the muffler shop cut and welded it to the pipe like an axle back.
