@TABTAMP Fantastic sound! I find it hard in my area to find a good bass clarinet, but u have really good control over the bass. That was a Buffet Prestige model correct? Oh man, that was spectacular! Here in Utah none of the bass clarinet players are any good... If they were half as dedicated as you are then our all-state band would have more than 4 bass clarinets in it in the 100 person group... haha

omg for the first time ive heard a real texas all state bass clarinet player,your really good,in my region they take two to area then two to state,my freshman year i got 3rd,being the only freshman,today i so thought i had it,the audition was mine i just knew it,the results came out and some freshman that i thought would get like 4th got 1st,and the same guy that beat me got 2nd and i got 3rd again. i knew it was mine and know its all over so fast. any advice???
No I couldnt go last year because i did go to the area competition cause i was sick
But ya alex was there last year you probably met him. he was in the symphonic band
And yes alex and i are going to state but hes going on bass clarinet and then my directors made me go on contra cause they wanted the ultimate low reed trio because we have a freshman whos trying on alto clarinet.
I played that solo last year and no I didnt really care much on how well I played it. But ya there are parts you where really good at but others I totally beat you. No offense.

Alex Trujillo is the best I've heard. Youll be seeing him and me at All State this year.

@baq12 It was a Buffet Prestige and I use a Selmer C Star mouthpiece. Reeds are RICO. Thank you for the comment... I try :) Take care!
