  • Love that bright colour coming through

  • BTW, I am a painter, in another directions but I love to experiment, your work have some of acting painting, but off course I know you have the total control. Very organic but you build it with the reazon. Very smart with the treatment about how to work in the adge of the painting,

  • Michael, I love the resoult, but I am really enjoyed with the prosces, one questions: Did you used varnish between the acrylic layers . What medium is the liquid caramel layer you used? just very liquid acrylic or is a velum with varnish?,

  • respetuosamente.muy bonito el acabado pero desde mi punto es muy saturado y lleva demasiado trabajo, de pronto existen clientes que lo puedan pagar, de todas maneras es un trabajo excelente

  • maravilloso , expectacular, me gusta ,i like it, is acrylic? or oil?

  • whats the tape for?

  • That was beautiful. What a talent you are, having such artful expressiveness! I love your technique and the effects on the surface and the effects on me. Wow. I´m hooked. Cheers. André ☺

  • 7 minutes of my life i dont want back, awesome work.

  • good work :) amazing, can iask a sillyQ? did you know how itd come up at the end while doign ti or was it purely experimental?

  • i think with this kind of painting - wet on wet - it is very hard to have an idea how it will turn out.. It will be a 50/50 situation.i mean you can direct of how you want it to be but you have to be open of what directions the painting is giving you...and use it as well.

  • ma che è!?!?!?

  • Cool. The home depot special

  • cool very cool. i like that he doesn't talk and annoy us like all artist are about themselves. he does his thang and its great!

  • CHE MERDA

  • excuse my ignorants but what is he painting on? thx

  • this may be a stupid question but is their a name for this sort of Technique? (using the paper to layer over the painting and using the big knife to spread the paint. Just curious

  • Probably not.. its just a form of abstract. and Abstract artist use a load of different tools to paint different things.

Sporks and Forks are great to paint with. (little kids have a blast with that)

Mops, paper bags, and spirals (off of spiral notebooks) all have cool effects.

  • damn thats cool

  • thank you for sharing. It is truly inspiring.

  • well done.... where did you get all those great squeegee like tools?

  • Love it.... this is so cool... i just have to see more from you.

  • Love the technique :)

    a few questions:

do you leave to dry inbetween each layer i.e. the yellow base and bronw/water layer?

what is that tool you use to spread it looks like a squeegee but metal?

what is the technique/close up at 6min.10sec

  • Nicely Done My friend!

  • so fascinating to watch!

  • Excellent quality and amazing techniques. Love the Metheny music... nice end results. Your site is great too. Would love to see these in person.

  • Mike.

I really enjoyed watching your video.

I first thought the painting was best with the various levels of Yellow, but as it went on I began to dislike it, but then started liking it again.

I guess thus is watching an artist at work and why so many of us don't like to have people watching us when we work. But the finished piece was very striking and also very calming.

    Keep it up bro.

  • Very nice!

  • What kind of paints and other media do you use? Oil-based or water-based?

  • I use water-based acrylics.

  • Very nice, Michael, I have always enjoyed your paintings and it is a pleasure to see your process.
