Nicole Kidman was thrilled to be working on the project esp as it allowed her to work with Baz Luhermann once again having previously worked with him on Moulin Rouge. I believe Celeb TV fabricated this story along with many others just to make hype, but hey they obviously don't know how to research their stories properly and their "sources" are no doubt themselves, lying once again to create GOSSIP!

Australia is a great film and Nicole did a beautiful job in it, and the film ended up doing incredibly well world wide, same goes for The Golden Compass, it didn't do great the first couple weekends out in the US then went on to do good business over time.

I've just listened to the original radio interview, the Celebrity piece is a shocking misrepresentation of what she said. Unbelievable. I'm not Australian so have no national bias in saying this. I'm ashamed at my naievety actually because I originally took the Celeb piece at face value. Interesting how different Nicole is when talking to fellow Aussies in that interview, so relaxed and at ease. I have to admit a small bias however, I am a Kidman fan, probably one of the best actresses ever.

I used to live next door to a whore in WA who used to stand out the front of her house in a chinese get-up just like the dress in this movie. when she wasn't entertaining the hood, she & her underage brother would repeatedly break into my house to steal. the Oz police wouldnt touch them because I was European & they protect their own. I do believe she said that, she's just being incredibly honest, which is admirable. She did'nt trash the movie, she criticized her performance. Frankly I think she's being way too hard on herself, I thought she did a pretty good job and I enjoyed the movie it was entertaining and overall quite enjoyable.

I went to see Australia and let me tell you something. I live in Tennesse and it was one of the best movies put out this year. I loved it. Nicole and Hugh were great it that movie. I just don't see why they give it such bad ratings when it was a whole lot better than any of the movie nominated for best picture. I did think The Reader and Benijam Button were good. But, the other didn't care for them. Go Nicole and Hugh!!

That is such a load of crap! I heard the ACTUAL radio interview that this was pulled from and they completely twisted her words around - that's not what she meant at all. She was saying that she doesn't like to watch ANY of her movies because it's awkward watching yourself on screen (Johnny Depp won't watch his movies either!) so it was hard for her to connect to the film watching herself.
