I think it would look awesome if you wrapped the pillars in suede, leather or carbon fiber, if you wrap the A pillars in something "soft" like suede, leather or fabric you could incorporate some kind of raised design like the RF logo, your company name or some type of embroidery or what not

you could also F-glass a digital voltage display into the D-side pillar and/or air pressure gauges if you ever bag it

I just finish the a-pillars in my truck. I only put the tweeters in thow. I'm still in the prosess of fuiguring out where I want evry thing to go. I'm thinking a 8" sub at the bottom then the 6" mid where the stock speaker was, followed by the tweeters at th top of the a-pillar. For th back I'm going with a single 10" betwen the front seats facing back, with 6x9's where the stock spakers where. What do you think?

@meade916 Uhh no lol, I have the same tweets with the dual clamping system that RF came up with. the larger cup goes behind your baffle anc the smaller one sits on the front of the baffle. Then you use the screw to pull the two cups together until they are tight . Thats how I did mine, just like the manual said. So idk man.

@BeAILsTaR13 listen. These are not mounted like my door tweeters are. The clamp CANT be mounted to the back due to the design of the A pillar. They are mounted a different way. There is no right or wrong as long as what you did worked LOL. I have just a few more of these in my ride then you guys i think i know how to install them but thanks anyway!

rockford has never left......they are the same and have done nothing but get better over the years. Pioneers world record doesnt mean shit, its a big truck full of concrete and is not even driveable. Brand doesnt mean as much as the engineering that goes into making the sound hit the meter just right.

Bro they may have never left but when our industry leader isn't putting forth the efforts that kept our hobby poppin and left it into the car audio shops hands to push it is a difference. I remember a time when car show and sound offs in particular was highly regarded in the industry now we have only sanctioned events in GA and that is 1 per sanctioned body that is crazy. The bigger shops used to push with the backing from Fosgate and other major companies.

Their aiming seems kinda weird. They are refracting and comb filtering off the windshield and hard dash. A dash mat and different aiming would make your highs much less harsh and have way less frequency spikes.

Well this is back in 2001. but then again. I never owned power series. Its just their low/mid range stuff always gave me issues, clipping, blowing, melting carpet. etc. etc.

Maybe. Professinally installed at the time though. (as I just getting into audio at the time) I even had Rockfords Lightning audio for a month that was given to me because my other was clipping then this one shat the bed. For a basic 4 gauge 4ohm setup only pushing 600-800w RMS nothing should blow or have issues. just my opinion. Rockfords old HX2s are nasty but why don' t they make those anymore?

if your amps were clipping, that means they werent setup correctly. ALL AMPS will clip if the gains arent set right. Sounds like the pro's may not have been pro's after all. Hit up my video on this very subject you will understand.
