the five points/lower east sider areas have been heavily gentrified. denver does have real, grimey cutthroat spots, but most are scattered out side of downtown out towards borderers like aurora or lakewood, englewood, ect. south federal, and surrounding neighborhoods, very cutthroat. parts of north denver are still active, but it has too been gentrified, sucks cuz they could help the neighborhoods without getting rid of the people.
