Dude, I have the half life 1 CD version(Sierra shit).

Yesterday I enabled the console by making a shortcut of the original HL file, and modifying it's property by writing "-console" at the end. This enabled the console and was working just fine.

But today, when I came back from school, the console won't work again!

I tried re-changing the property but it's still not working, so please help me!

to get sv_cheats 1 to work, enter it, then continue on till you get the 'loading' on your screen (going to next area), then enter a cheat. should work. if not, enter it, type cheat, then go to next loading area. hope this helps, please rate up so people can see this

Im gonna tell y'all a simple guide and some cheats to half-life. First make a shortcut of half-life. Make a "-console" + space at the end. Well when you have gone to properties. In game you write "Sv_cheats 1" Start or load a new game and write these: god noclip impulse 101 impulse 76 give monster_scientist barney otis zombie headcrab gargantua etc. impulse 102 sv_gravity 0 or another number notarget

As long as you are using a copy of the shortcut, you can't 'break' anything, so try all options. The simplest version is "C:\program files\Sierra\hl.exe"[space]-co­nsole
