@cellmate100 Well yeah, my problem is that I use too many weapons, so I never have space in my inventory, but at least I have at least one good weapon for every situation! Rifle is good for shooting things that are far away from you (duh), and it usually takes normal enemies down with one shot, so it's a considerable weapon all in all.

@amegadeath You must start the knifing as soon as you can. And the closer you are when you start knifing, the better. Be prepared to get bitten, though! I hope I could be of any help.

i know how to kill the regenator without having the infrared scope. you must blast his leg and then with a shotgun start shooting his chest while he is in the floor. you must know where the plagas are located for shooting at them.

I think you might have delivered the first knife slash too late, or you outright missed it. Not sure though, but if you fail to catch it into the "stun loop", he'll get back up even if you'd hit him while he's getting up.

First time I fought a Regenerator, I shot off its leg and I thought something like "Whew, now it can't attack and I can just finish it the way I want!", but no! It jumped to my neck and killed me!

The actual answer: They don't want to be helpless, in case they lose a few (or all) of their limbs. They also have no bones, which I guess makes such stunts even possible.

Yeah, um, I tried this and the above happened to me. I just get my neck juice sucked out of me :(. How do you make sure that doesn't happen and so it just hops innocently towards you like on the video? x

You can trigger enemies to attack you, if you are close to their attack range and sprint towards them, ok? Then, you have to back-up as soon as the enemy starts attacking, so you avoid being hit. With Regenerators, this is just a little more challenging, because it may be hard to estimate their jumping distance. You can practice with Ganados, they are very vulnerable to this trick. This way you can beat them using only the Combat Knife.

Let it jump once and then quickly pull out your knife and start slashing. It's hard to estimate distance at first, but keep trying!

You mention it took 77 slashes, but just in pro, so your information are not really accurate as it seem under different circumstance.

Anyway, brilliant idea ! You just helped a plenty of people around the world who have Regenerator/Iron Maiden phobia.

I'm pretty sure enemies have more life on Pro than in Normal and Easy.

Saying what it takes on pro is the maximum amount of slashes needed to kill one. So you can expect them to die earlier on Normal and Easy. Testing that would be pointless in my opinion, when you know they will die under 77 slashes. I hope you see what I mean :)

its much easier if you use infrared sa-rifle it takes three bullets and its faster or shotgun shoo in the stomach with shotgun like 2-3 times sometimes 1 can be enough and tyhe rege is dead faster and three isn that much

With those numbers, I'd say you're playing on easy. Try on pro and you'll see your technique is wasting bullets.

I have 2 theories why a regenerater can die from 85 knife hits

1) It's a failproof attack if a player runs out of bullets. (How thoughtful the designers, but they had to make it difficult to encourage picking up weapons)

2)The Plagas in a Regenerater stressed itself when it heals the host and cannot continuously heal a damage so they die one by one from stress if continuous healing is done on a continuous open wound like a knife or a gun(theory)

I'm not sure what you are asking, but no you don't have to unfreeze the freezer. Just rewrite the freezer card in there. That saves you from a Regenerator fight, but you also lose 5000 Pesetas.

That's a good strategy, albeit slow, this strategy is also good when you're fighting Hauser, apparently he only needs like 6 swipes of the knife to die.
