And the only people who can afford to go to EPL games and sit near the pitch are corporate types that come in suits and sit on their hands. Here in the States the students get substantial discounts on tickets, and the alumni who shell out the big money haven't lost their passion. Also, the Horseshoe fits more people than Wembley.

College football is special because the team represents our school which is a big part of people's lives. (you can be born or die at OSU hospital, you can't say that about Millwall or Leyton Orient or New York Yankees) We have a band, we have Block O, we have cheerleaders, we have Brutus, and we have a scoreboard, so yes there are several means by which people can be prompted to be loud, but if you come and see a game here you'll realize that it doesn't really matter. It's massive.
