I got their album >>The Nephilim<< as a gift for my 18th birthday back in December 1988 (thank you so much, Christiane!) and ever since that it's one of my favorite top ten albums ever. Due to the point in time I first heard them for me their sound is intimately connected to the cold and grey atmosphere of late autumn and early winter, the perfect time to start a travel inside your soul - and this is the perfect soundtrack to do so...

@Valkoisen well, they were absolutely iconic when they started. the heroes followed. the neph were great in the 80'. something very close to the actual goth sound and au pair with the dark situations of cure and the miriad of the groups that imitated them. the heros started to be publically know after 1987 and actually in the 90 when they came out with senderos de traicion
