This is why I am not picking up one at the moment until they stock a nickel or stainless version at my shop.

I am planning to buy it but in my country you can only carry it with 8 rounds so they sell it with the 10 round mags only, however, I intend to go to the range a lot and would order a few 14 round mags if the gun takes them anyway... This was one of the first semi-autos I ever bought. Since then I've accumulated Rugers, Beretta's, S&Ws, and yes, even Glocks. The CZ 75 P-01 is still my favorite handgun.

yes i have and glock is way more verisital. that crap is sooo heavy I work in a gun shop so i know the difference!! can you hit targets with that 9mm at 125 yard's with no problem?? I can with a baby glock 26. 3 inch barrel I can't with the cz.

Cz pistols are quality 'real mans guns". not tupperware crap. iv outshot many glock owners with my cz. fact is the barrel lock up on a glock is too free and too playful to be accurate enough for any competition, and the glock trigger just plain sucks
if you cant with the cz that means you cant shoot with anything except glock. i like glocks but if they were so better as people like you tell why US army chose beretta ?!?! a guy that hates glock told me some bullshit about the gun but he was right for 1 thing. the glock is so easy to use because it was made for people that dont know anything about guns.
The Glock was not considered for Military Pistol trials, because it does not have double-srtike capability... ie, you cannot pull the trigger again if the round does not go off on the first try - You must manipulate the slide. The Beretta and many other pistols with a hammer are DA/SA, which means you can pull the trigger as much as you want and the firing pin will strike each time. Special Forces groups do use the Glock at their discretion, fyi.
Glock makes great pistols that can really take a beating, and I like that they are simple. I don't like their triggers - Especially the american triggers. Stupid BATF. Anyway, I like my CZ better.

yes, the p-01 has the decocker. No saftey on mine! still heavy for an alloy frame! keeps recoil down though, and feels good. why does no one on youtube show the targets they just fired at?? thats what we want to see
Just for clarification. The CZ75 D Compact is known as the PCR. It has the decocker. The P-01 has the safety. Different guns. One is steel alloy the other is all steel if I recall.

I ordered mine and it is on hold since I do not have a concealed weapons permit so I have to wait a month, it sucks, oh well, I can tell I will enjoy my new CZ like you guys do.
Look nice. What's the trigger deal? Does safety do nothing more than bring it down from full to half-cocked mode? Looks nice but I question having to get used to two shooting modes on a CC when you only need one.
My CC weapon is a SIG P6, it has a heavy trigger pull but its smooth and linear with a very quick reset. I have the CZ SP-01 and the P-01 also, but I carry the SIG more.
I just bought this same gun...and have to wait a week before I can shoot it!!!! On the call of duty for the company this week no handguns in company vehicles allowed!
One is mostly plastic and the other isn't.Look at the frame rails on a glock.Glock is double action only.Looking into the p-01 due to it's nato approval,construction and looks.Have the glock 32 and noticed a bit of play between the slide and frame.357sig calibre is awesome.Too bad theirs not alot more pistols in this calibre.

@smlemk42 - My P-01 functions flawlessly and is very accurate. I use Hoppes #9 and RemOil to clean it and have had no issues with the polycoating.

I used to own a CZ 75 Compact, 9MM. Wish I still had it. One of the best handguns I've ever owned. Foolish of me to sell it.

Yeah it's a decocker, not a safety.
And frankly the double action is ideal for CC.
