If it was a color picture, you'd simply have to swap the pallete to create a black and white picture.

B) Dozens of people have been caught doing that exact kind of fakery. It's quite common among the paranormal community to simply photoshop images and distort them.

If you claim you didn't do it, fine. However don't be surprised that people don't believe you as this isn't different from virtually any other ghost video on youtube. And quite a few people put days of work with expensive video-editing equipment into making their images look real.

Assuming that you're being honest about not editing the film, this is nothing that couldn't be made by having someone put a dark sheet over their body and standing there with a mask on.

Your camera swings by to pick it up after your brother and picks up the image. Then you spend about 2 seconds looking at the bathroom door which would be more than enough time for the person to dart into the basement.

Honestly. This is painfully easy to fake whether you edit the film or just stage it.

The stairs are out of the way, and if it was light from behind me and my body casting a shadow, you would have seen light at the bottom of the stairs.
