Guro Inosanto is true fountain of knowledge and understanding, as well as being a real class act. I count myself fortunate having been able to attend a couple of his seminars and meet the man personally.

You can be certified in how well you express or demonstrate understanding of an idea.  That's also how you earn a college or graduate degree!

i'm kind of confused, one minute dan says there is no such thing as jkd. the next minute he is saying he is certified in it. how can you be certified in an idea?

It's a concept. A way of looking at martial arts and being liberated from everything else.

I guess if he was training a beginner, he would have to give them something to picture in there mind. You couldn't just start to train at Dan or Bruces level. You need good basics and then evolve.
