These performances from the 2 Crossroads tour have catapulted my respect for Jeff Beck to the point where I'd rank his guitar playing to #2 EVER (with Hendrix being #1). Clapton is great but not as good technically I think.

Tal Wilkenfeld is the 4 string bass player who yes is female, born in 1986, from Australia, but who emigrated to the USA in 2002. She's toured with Chick Corea, Jeff Beck, the Allman Brothers, and Clapton, plus more. She'd only been playing bass 3 years before these tours in 2006-7!

hi, yep it is pretty crappy all round. As for the title - it is a song from the album Blow by Blow - I'll listen to it tonite and then post an answer - there might be a better version searchable under that. But buy Blow by Blow - you will NOT be disappointed

Blow by Blow. Classic. I think Tal, with all respect to everyone else, lifts Jeff, and the whole band, onto a higher plane (the highest plane?) - one commenter on Jeff's 2007 Crossroads set, who was 20ft from the stage, said it was the best show he'd seen in 30+ years, and Jeff's best playing ever - Jeff certainly looked pretty happy about things, especially Tal's playing! The best quality clip is under Crossroads Guitar Festival 2007 uploaded by Rockting69 - for me, infinite stars.

Have you seen the recently released DVD of Jeff with Tal and Vinnie and Jason at Ronnie Scott's in November 2007 - it is absolutely wonderful - you're right he is playing better than ever and in that venue, just great - Robert Plant and Jimmie Page were in the audience (I bet Jimmie was !!!!!) and even though it's not on the commercial release I saw the original boot where Eric came and played - I like Eric but Jeff is the man!
