The Jews reckon a day different than we do. So weak. Jesus was crucified on Friday (day one). Rested in tomb (day two). Rose on Sunday (day three). The Jews reckoned a part of a day as a whole day. Luke 24:5-7 clearly states that "after three days" is same as "on the third day" in Jewish tradition.
Jesus was already gone when Mary went to see the tomb sunday dawn. So the day of sunday can't be counted. But even if for the sake of argument, we count it in, how would you bring in the 3rd night ? (remember - 3 days and 3 nights)

PHILIPPIANS was written by Paul and he never met Jesus nor was he a prophet, when he came into contact with the apostles who did know Jesus personally they rejected him and he had to go to preach to the Romans, even though Jesus himself said he had come only to the lost sheep of Israel, not to the Romans. Jesus never said that he is God or to worship him, he never said he will die for your sins either nor did he ever mention the trinity nor is the word trinity even in the bible. All of these false attributes come from Paul the deceiver. When asked what is the most important commandment Jesus didn't say that he will die for your sins, that is how you get saved he said that God is ONE, not three. Although Muslims say they "respect" Jesus, the truth is they deny He died 4their sins+refuse 2repent just as the majority of Jewish ppl. The Bible doesn't give/lend any support 2the koran. There is only 1 Messiah + He is Jesus Christ who u deny died on the cross 4 our sins. Jesus is God in the flesh as JOHN chapter 1 states. Read what the word "repent" means in a dictionary. We haven't received 4giveness until we ask 4 it. We r offered reconciliation through Jesu's sacrifice of atonement 4 our sins but we can't receive it if we don't follow the conditions laid down 2 receive it...

Or why do people say Jesus died for us when Jesus himself said O God, if it is possible for you to let this cup pass from me, then let it pass. Jesus (pbuh) is calling upon God to free him from crucifixion. How can such words come from who Christians are calling God, or from a man who wants to bear the sins of humanity? Matthew 26:28....that is why His blood is precious. this is why people say jesus died for us "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" John 3:16.... jesus said just before he died.."it's finished"

Which means that he is in his BOLIDY Form and not the spiritual form which a being taken on after being resurrected. HE asks them not to doubt him for he HIMSELF is there.

The Jews reckon a day different than we do. So weak. Jesus was crucified on Friday (day one). Rested in tomb (day two). Rose on Sunday (day three). The Jews reckoned a part of a day as a whole day. Luke 24:5-7 clearly states that "after three days" is same as "on the third day" in Jewish tradition.

It doesn't matter whether or not it talks about Son of God. It gives you a general guidelines of God's justice. and God's justice is this: No human being will ever pay for somebody else's wrongdoings and evil.
Was "Son" of God a human being ? Yes.
Was he made to pay for the sins of somebody else ? Allegedely Yes.
So How could this be ?
It would be an outrage.
It'd be like calling God insane.
But God is very wise and just. and he took Jesus up much before the alleged cruci'fiction'

I do believe in the mercy of God. He allowed Himself to die so I would have eternal life. He allowed Himself to become man in order to know our sufferings. It was innocence that was required to save us all. God is in heaven now so all is well.

Yes God knows all things. I should have worded it thus: God came to earth and suffered as we do in order to prove to us that He is our perfect advocate knowing all temptations. (Hebrews 4:15) You still do not understand the true nature of sin. Sin is a barrier between God and man. Yes God can do all things but must wait until it is just before He can act. This proves His perfect Love. He did not come to die for us but rather to die in our place.

In that case, then God must think that Christians do not have true faith in Him because true believers will not need for God to prove to them that He knows all things. Allah does not need any special time to forgive the sins of anyone who asks for His forgiveness. He is available every second, and His mercy is ever present. THIS is perfect love from God. Allah does not need to die for anyone to forgive him or her.

I did not say God was not available every second as well. He is. (Matthew 28:20) His mercy is available at all times as well. (Psalm 136:1) The need for a perfect sacrifice waiting for the perfect time is not a sign of God's weakness. It is Perfect Love.

No, it's the sign of perfect weakness. Perfect love is forgiveness and salvation at any time. If your mother had withhold her love until what she described as the perfect time to give love to you, would you call her love perfect ? If you choose to withhold your love for your child until the time you decide that's perfect, would you call her love for your child perfect ? Allah didn't and doesn't wait for certain times to give salvation to those who seek it.

DigitalPraise7 - that does not explain away why God needed to kill Jesus in order to forgive humankind. This means that God's forgiveness was depended on Jesus being murdered - a blood sacrifice. That's mean that even if someone seeks God's forgiveness, he could not have it because Jesus wasn't killed yet. In Islam, forgiveness can be seeked by the sinner and given anytime by God the moment the sinner repented. Sorry, it's not the same thing.

In fact, he so wanted NOT TO BE CRUCIFIED that he actually prays to GOD to "Let this cup pass" from him, and even as he was being crucified, he cries out " My God, My God, Why have you forsaken me ?".

If he was, he would have just asked to be nailed to the cross, isn't it ? but he didn't.

Why do Muslims believe that the Apocalypse of Peter which is a docetist view and therefore a heresy of Christianity, to be a Christian document? I think they know that it is not a Christian text but use it to attack the very essential beliefs of Christianity.
Judging from the responses of Muslims, they can easily answer their own questions but refuse to do so because then they would recognize how false Islam is and turn to God through Christ.

Zarabbas - the questions posed by Muslims here actually are more for Christians like yourself to think about. E.g, Jesus was crucified and yet the OT said that whoever is crucified is cursed. Why did God suddenly need to have a son in order for Him to forgive the sins of humanity ? And how about the contradictions between one Gospel and another ? Why are there contradictions if John, Luke, Mark and Matthew were all inspired by the Holy Spirit ? And of course many other issues.....

If Jesus died for the sins of men, then does that mean that we can commit sins and bear no responsibility for that sins ? If this is the case, aren't we creating a situation of chaos because nobody feels any need to behave morally ? Why did God or Son of God had to die to forgive humanity ? Doesn't God has the power to just forgive ? And if Jesus died on the cross and he was God, who was in charge of the universe for 3 days ?
