FYI, I live in the USA and the 5.56 x 45 (nearly identical to the 223) is incredibly easy to shoot as there is almost no recoil. I've shot my Rem700 chambered for 308WIN and it's also easy to shoot. The only round I had a problem with was a 50BMG, because the gun weighed 36lbs without the scope.

FYI, I live in the USA and the 5.56 x 45 (nearly identical to the 223) is incredibly easy to shoot as there is almost no recoil. I've shot my Rem700 chambered for 308WIN and it's also easy to shoot. The only round I had a problem with was a 50BMG, because the gun weighed 36lbs without the scope.

Umm, sorry but the AK-74 is not chambered in .308 Winchester (7.62x51 NATO).
It's a 5.45x39, and has a ballistic profile more similar to a .223 (5.56 NATO) relative to a .308.
A .223 has virtually no kick what-so-ever and anyone can fire it without problem.
A .308 can have some kick and result in sore shoulders after a good day at the range, but a .223, 5.45x39, or 7.62x39 will never do that.

I don't think the us is the most powerful country in the world. I think many countries are more powerful. They're just not as quick to throw their power where it doesn't belong. Iraq and Afghanistan is a show of brutality not power. I'd love to see the them pull the same shit with the Sauds the Iranians or the egyptians. Those are three Middle eastern nations that could easily handle the American presence. but Attacking one of these nations would also lead to their allies joining the conflict.

1000gr .700 Nitro has 14,374 ft·lbf
The reason is .50 travels at a faster rate.
And the rediculous recoil depends on the Design of the weapon too. .700 Nitro was made in mid 80s!
