Oil & Gas under every ocean? Where's the facts to back that up! Try twilight in the Desert or the Long Emergency - those are based on real facts. Demand is decreasing (in some areas) but not nearly enought to justify huge surges and declines in the oil price. The IEA report, notorious for underestimating the real scene, reported 9% decline annually in world oil reserves! My opinion, Crude is low because the powers that be are trying to stimulate a world heading towards depression.

Yesterday they decreased production in an attempt to raise the price, however it went down and it's dropping again today. Don't you get it, the pricing has become a known scam to the whole world. Every scam in the world is going down.

I don't think OPEC gets it. If you come out and say your cutting production, to people that means higher gas prices at the pump. PEOPLE are sick and tired of this crap and all it does is make people drive less bringing the demand down. For some reason they just can't see the light. The crap is trading under $70 a barrel, but the pump price is still $2.50 a gallon. The math is: $140 barrel at $4.00 gallon pump to $70 barrel at $2.50 gallon pump. Should be $2.00 gallon pump. Hmmmmmmm

The problem with oil is: it costs per barrel about $20 to bring it to the surface, $20 for refining and $10 for transport. About $50 total. These costs have remained constant for years. But, when the price for sale fluctuates from $70 to $140 depending on demand, people get tired of it and that has started the EV craze which I feel is fixing to explode leaving oil in low demand. OPEC shouldn't have underestimated peoples smarts and now they will pay as EV's take over. The oil party is over.

It doesn't matter what they do. I work in the oilfield industry. There is oil everywhere in the world, it's just deeper in some places than others. The middle east just happens to be in a shallow area so it's cheaper to bring it up. The reason for high prices is because we know that oil has a short future left and every country in the world is beginning to drive EV's. It's just a matter of time and demand is going to plummet as oil will mainly be needed for lubricants. Oil is a primitive fuel.
