Nothing is different. According to the bible, adultery and pre-marital sex are sins. But we don't stone people anymore. We just picket them.

I guess what's most important is the marriage between two people in their heart... which is pure love.

but many people would say oral sex is sex, because it contains the words sex. it's just another form of it. not going to say safer, because you can still catch things from oral sex. but no offspring will be produced.

Sin is Sin. Period! One type of sin DOES Not Excuse Another! God Hates ALL Sin. And He wants us to turn away from Sin. Homosexuality is a choice as is adultery, sodomy, murder,etc. Therefore, we as parents trying to raise our children to love and Obey God's commandments and teachings, will Not sit back and allow something that God says is Sinful to invade our lives and those of our families.

Here is the difference. Nobody is trying to argue that adultery is not a sin. People who live in adultery don't walk down adultery pride parades. Any true Christian will agree that adultery is a sin, and a HORRIBLE one at that!

You are correct. ALL sex outside of marriage is SIN. Sexual sin is worse because, as 1 Corinthians says, He who commits sexual sin is sinning against his own body. Christianity teaches that we are part of the body of Christ, so if we sin against our own body, we sin against Jesus.

Putting people to death, stoning, ALL the punishments in the Old Testament were fulfilled by Jesus' Death.(Isaiah 53:5)

Therefore, the law remains, but the judgement beolongs to God.

@norqvader Isaiah 53:5 doesnt specifically state that the death penalty no longer applies or that the old testament doesn't apply it seems, it simply says that "we were naughty and Jesus suffered the death penalty to help us be better people" basically. It doesn't say "oh and the old testament no longer applies btw".

The Law still applies in that, it shows that all have sinned, and any sin separates us from God. Faith in Christ brings forgiveness. The punishment is accomplished. Jesus did not abolish the law, He fulfilled it. (Matt. 5:17)

Also if you must bring in the bible you can not forget the character of a Pharisee and Sadducee or the conversion of Saul when the law is spoke of. Being born in sin counts.
