  • This is my baby girl exactly. And it goes on all the time. Its less if i hold her upright. So, what medicine worked?

  • @kelleymchristie We ended up on 21.5mg's of Prevacid Solutabs daily until her first year was over. I wish you the best!

  • Thank you for posting this! My son (3 months old) was recently diagnosed with Sandifer's. I thought it was seizures at first but his EEG was normal. He looks just like this after eating! We are about to start him on prevacid since Zantac didn't really help. What has worked for you??

  • She would do shaking movements - similar to Parkinsons - just involuntary movements and twitching/shaking.

  • I don't mean to sound stupid, but can you tell me exactly what movements or at what time you are thinking she's having a spasm? I'm trying to compare this with my two month old son.

  • Hi bordeasr: She was 2.5 mos old here. I watched videos of Sandifers & was almost positive that she had it. So I took this video for him & he said yeah, for sure that she did. This video helped convince him that her dosage was too low & the next day he called, upped her dosage & within a week we had a new happy healthy baby. If I hadn't convinced him, he was going to try & convince us to do surgery. Good luck to you and your son & hang in there. It gets better with time and medicine.

  • @sweetpeameg

"upped her dosage" of what? My twin daughters seem to have this, only much worse. Started on Zantac yesterday, seemed to help some at first, now, today, seems even worse. Happens out of nowhere, in the middle of an otherwise peaceful sleep, even, not just during or right after feeding. So what medication helped your daughter? Zantac, Prevacid, something else?

  • My son has been making these same arm/leg movements. He is 7 weeks old & is already on a prevacid compound for reflux issues but it is apparent to me that that is not enuf. Can you tell me if the docs were able to resolve movements produced by the syndrome & if so, by what means (medicines, therapy). I feel like my son isn't able to practice motor skills of batting at objects because his arms are flying uncontrollably in other directions!

  • Yeah our doc diagnosed Sandifers when it was really early. Her Sandifers didn't get as bad as it is now until a couple of weeks ago. She doesn't do anything "sit-up" like, but she does bob her head a lot. Good luck at your EEG! I have another video with eating issues, I just haven't had time to post it!

  • Hi, I just want to say thank you so much for posting this, I have seen a lot of videos on here and some on here have reminded me of my daughter, but yours looks just like what my daughter has been doing. does she ever do anything that look like little sit ups? I have an EEG on Thursday - did you ever get an actual diagnoses of Sandifer's or anything else? Thanks again!

  • Hello again,

Have her episodes gotten worse than this? Did the doc put her on medicine and if so has she had any relief? We are just starting this journey and I am so worried about my daughter. Does your daughter have any trouble when she first wakes up? Did they do an EEG or any other testing? Thanks for any info that you can provide. Good luck mama!
