  • Chomsky - 81 years old and still kicking imperialist ass!

  • Dr. Chomsky recently told Iranian TV that at the time the US invaded Afghanistan, they had no evidence that al Qaeda had done 9/11. See my video "Chomsky on Faith-Based Wars and 9/11".

  • I hope this man never dies.

  • @DeadJ0ker27 Google will store his lectures on video forever I hope.

  • “The Vile Maxim of the master’s of mankind, is all for ourselves and nothing for anyone else.” --Doctor Adam Smith

Incivility is the STANDARD of behavior, for the minions of the mass murdering Debt Syndicate. People have to wake up to the fact, that their slave masters are malevolent sadists. There is a REASON that virtually //everyone// travelled armed in America, all the way up to and through the first part of the 20th century.

  • bring on the oil crisis. When oil finally runs out mankind will finally be able to escape these terrible dictatorships and use technology to create equality among mankind

  • why doesnt Chomsky mention the obvious? That what see happened on 9/11 could not have happened without explosives>? This is what I dont get about this guy. He said elsewhere that it doesnt even matter if it was an inside job! I can only imagine he feels this way because it was not his only daughter who was blown into hundreds of small pieces (1100 of those people remain "unaccounted for" to this day No discernible genetic trace found!!).

Obama is just a figurehead of our Wall Street Government

  • @winston2015 his point is that the US kills far more people OPENLY. So why are people more concerned by these killings, even if they happened? Some 9/11 truth guys don't have a problem with anything else the US does, which are far worse and done in the open.

  • We need more people like Noam Chomsky to uncover the truth of the world especially how the ruling elites are misusing their power for their own interests and how the general masses are fooled into near submission.

  • Thank you for posting and sharing this!

  • I love this man.

  • @Sorenzo I love him too! The words that come out of his mouth is TRUTH. It cant get no better.

  • 1 person is a stupid antisemite.

  • @TheSchmuck2 Im a stupid antisemite but I still liked this

  • He had me again at "Thank you for your warm welcome"... ;-)

  • Thanks so much for uploading! Thank you for the lecture updates as well:)

  • There will be a LIVE stream of the lecture Chomsky is giving in Amsterdam on March 13 th on chomsky dot nl.

  • On March 13 th 2011 Chomsky is giving a lecture in Amsterdam The Netherlands. It was sold out soon after is was announced. It will be filmed and uploaded to the web. I'm not sure yet to wich website. Check chomsky dot nl if you are interested. Will this be his last visit to The Netherlands considering his age ? Hope not.

  • Why does nobody ever provide him with a chair in case he gets tired...

  • he's academic celebrity, and rightfully so

one of the most thought provoking intellectuals of our time.

    who will succeed him?

  • Thank you for giving us the latest from this man's unparalleled insight

  • where are the other fucking paAAAaaaaAAAArrrrrRRRtttTTTSSSssss!!! just kidding. but seriously. where are the other fucking parts?

  • @doston1 the next part is always the top of the Suggestions playlist to the right. I don't know why people have so many issues with that.

  • @truthslap If people "have so many issues with that" why not upload them the same way everyone else does?

  • @jlaroche0 i listened again, i believe he is saying "Muasher," as in Marwan Muasher who had a piece in the Washington Post yesterday

  • @jlaroche0 he said "the Marshall Doctrine," typically called the Marshall "Plan"

  • I have a feeling the price of gas is about take off.

  • Is it a surprise to anybody that US's policies are in full support of Extremists? So the world has less extremists today then before 9-11? Seriously who actually made these groups at first? Has world forgotten that Bin-Laden was and Arab Dictators are best friends with our & US's government?Same few people become reason for the terror and for the people to hate each other get into killing business & justify illegal wars. How ironic and pathetic is that? We aren't living in good times.

  • The enormous Mr. Chomsky and inspirational effort to translated the real substance of the true Human Values in democracy. Always great !!

Please help to cross this youtube Lectures in other Languages with subtitles in Spanish !!!

  • Chomsky sounds like he's had a good sleep before giving this talk.

  • @wda013 thanks for the suggestion

  • How would I find the National Security Council report mentioned @ 10:14?

  • Exactly what Doctrine is he stating at around 14min into the video? It is hard to hear him. Is it the "Moshar Doctrine"? Where can I get more info on this?

  • @jlaroche0

    the monroe doctrine i think

  • A Peaceful World will produce unemployment among military ones and bankruptcies of armament factories.

I would not be touched when seeing a former-soldiers beside a former-producing of weapons begging.

    Fuck the fuckers!

  • thanks for posting

  • Good lecture.....Dr. Chomsky makes an airtight case for tax, campaign finance, financial etc. reform as he always does, but the really neat thing here is that he opens with the unrest in Tunisia and Egypt to answer the oft-posed question of "what can we do about it?" He doesn't incite unrest, but makes those of us that see the need for change feel pretty apathetic. We have speech and assembly rights that make protest really safe. The Egyptians are risking everything by taking to the streets.

  • @jingolanddissident You're totally right. During the 'Support Wikileaks/Free Speech' demonstration on Jan 15th in SF, only a handful of us decided to march. Why are people being so passive & apathetic when we (in the US) have rights to demonstrate w/out having to worry about being getting arrested or beaten? We can make so much difference if everyone would start showing up to protests. Popular opinion does matter but we won't accomplish anything but quietly sitting at home while others organize.

  • @lastcaress83 I guess I have a problem because he tells you about the problem of empire in the modern day, and he gives you no possible solution. There is a place for him though, I just would rather spend time on more positive material, not problems which I will never be able to touch. It's like Alinsky--only take on what is in your means to take on.

  • @PtAltmVansanTarr

That's not really how I read him. He's very systematic in the majority of his lectures which usually go from the issues, the challenges to expect when addressing the issues, the historical successes and, often, a very simple minded and broad path to solutions. His typical line is "the truth is, you can do almost anything" which can be very daunting but I think he addresses it this way because every situation is different and there is no single answer

  • university of tennessee? i would have gone if i could of gotten a ticket in any way.

  • Just for example, his speeches are so hard to decode due to the number of facts and stats he drops, you just have to take his word for it

  • @PtAltmVansanTarr

I urge you to read the works based off of his lectures... they are extensively well cited and if you doubt and of his facts and stats, you can research them yourself.

  • @PtAltmVansanTarr

well, how about pause and rewind and then google the stats? he usually gets his economics stuff from krugman and dean baker, his international relations from realist scholars like mearsheimer and walt, and his stuff on human rights he gets from human rights watch or amnesty intl.

  • One issue I have with someone like Chomsky is that he is just one man talking about issues that states have intelligence bureaus working on- and even they get things wrong -such as the miscalculation of SUs industrial strength(maybe this is a bad example because it could have been intentionally miscalculated figures but still......). He must attract brilliant grad students...

  • @PtAltmVansanTarr

but those intelligence agencies are working from several false presumptions like the rightness of what they are doing, the need for 'stability', etc

  • the winds of true freedom from the lapdogs of the western corporate governments are finally blowing in our region of the world .

  • I WAS THERE!! AHHHHHH
