These guitars are famous for having radiophonic pickups, which basically means the coil needs to be waxed to separate it from the magnet. Its easy to fix. It will stop the high end squeal you get, and takes about an hour to repair, no probs. If anyone wants instructions send me a message.
i think i got it off of ebay for $350 new. I had to get it set up though. to be honest, the guitar was pretty blah... it didn't feel or sound special at all... very uninspiring. the pick ups were pretty bad too... when i wasn't playing, they would feedback uncontrollably.
in theory, it was a great guitar, but there's better stuff out there for the money
@mollet09 actually, i wasn't happy with it... i actually sold it b/c the pickups fed back really bad... even at low volumes... it was a great player, but pretty uninspiring
@mystixboi but you mean a really bad sound?? i dont need a sound like an esp guitar, just something much better tahn a squier hehe so wat do u think, tnx for responding
i'm sure it would be... i actually sold it b/c the pickups fed back really bad... even at low volumes... it was a great player, but pretty uninspiring
i got it from a seller off of ebay. it was a store. they had an auction for one that went for $330... i asked him if he had anymore that he would be willing to sell to me at that price. he did... i love it
the g-flex sounds huge and has amazing bass response... it sounds like a 4 x 12, but takes up the space of a 2 x 12. i love it... i will never need a 4 x 12 again!!! what head are you using? i've owned a lot of different heads and most of them sound great with the cab. let me know
Well, I was looking at the GSX...but I have to admit that I went and auditioned the Bugera 333XL today and it knocked by socks off. I couldn't believe the tone I heard coming from that amp. I already know I want a 2x12 cabinet, so it will either be the g-flex or the Mesa Recto.
thank you for the kind words.... to be honest, it's an ok guitar... nothing special, but could be a lot worse... the pickups aren't so hot...i have been meaning to change them out. but i don't play it enough to actually swap them out
Ah ok i understand =) Thank you for these informations! I projected to buy it but i think i'll choose another ESP guitar, like the m-1000...I'm a bon jovi's fan but i don't want to spend 500€ for nothing special lol Or buy it and buy new pickups directly, i'll see! =P Anyway, thanks to answered!
notice the hello kitty guitar in the background?

I love the GSX. Can you share your thoughts on the g-flex? I want a 2x12 and am thinking it will either be that or the Mesa.
