it is an edit, because that stage is not in Mortal Kombat Armageddon which is the only game with both Kobra and Sonya in it. Also that stage was not in MK:DA which was the first MK game with those types of graphics that had Sonya in it. She was absent from deception so it must be an edit

Dude, shut the fuck up. She WAS in MK:D as an unplayable character in Konquest mode. You could FIGHT her. The guy who makes these videos has some sort of thing he uses so he can play as unplayables like Sonya, Onaga, etc.

Well then isn't that an edit? She's not a playable character in the game but her styles and moves exist, just split between other characters. All that thing he has does is use her model and match the styles to it and probably replace one person on the character select screen to get Sonya. But at the end of the day, it still involves hacking the game to some point.

Hmmm... The fact is that she was programmed into the game, but not to be played as, she retained all her moves and specials, but she was designed only to be in Konquest mode. Haven't you ever heard of a Gameshark? It's kinda like what he's doing, but not exactly the same. He has some sort of thing that has shit like "Set P1 to Johnny Cage" and "Set Shujinko to Young Shujinko". See what I mean?

I do see what you mean, it's like playing as Seymour in Final Fantasy 10. But there was a difference between the moves list from DA to D. The combo damages and lengths were altered. The Kenpo and Tae Kwon Do styles were changed and all of sonya's special moves were shared with people like Kira for example. It's not the same Sonya from DA, all they did to "program" her for konquest was use her model and the already existing move lists/special attacks that other characters had.
