best thing to do is get an xp restore disk from your computer manufacturer . reinstalles all the proper drivers and runs smooth. only cost me 21 bux for 2 day shipping.

people i figured it out

you need to do restart your pc with vista then enter your bios then change your hard drive from AHCPI to IDE to support windows xp drivers

then save your settings then restart your pc then pop your windows xp disk in drive and you won't a get blue screen of deaths at xp setup

YOU STILL NEED TO GET THE DRIVERS FOR YOUR HARDWARE FROM YOU PC BRAND SITE BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE A GOOD INSTALL WITH NO BLUE SCREEN OF DEATHS! GOOD LUCK!

@camboy1132 soz man, dont think you can buy a new comp/laptop with xp, vista is pretty much phased out and now you can really only get windows 7. your better off buying the computer conponents/building a pc and installing xp if you have the cd/cd key, or you might have to get 1 off ebay, if the worst comes to the worst download a copy off da net(cracked of course)

heres an easy way, install ubuntu on main partition, throw in xp cd and boot from CD drive, delete main partition which is ubuntu and then create new partition for xp take 20 mins max

i solved the problem. all you have to do is when the pc starts you press f2 and go to the bios, and then go to the advanced tab and change the ahcn or something like that (its the 1st one on the list). and change it to disabled and it works!!
