@prlilbitz0328 City of Angels takes place in Seattle where it rains a lot.Part of the story is that these angels are around us all the time.In Seattle, a trench coat is pretty much the city uniform.So seeing all these angels in trench coats, they would blend in with everyone else.The costume designer pretty much had two choices for trench coats - black or khaki.Black is obviously the better choice.I always thought the scenes with all the angels on the beach reminded me of a Magritte painting.

None of us are ever alone..we just have to open our "inner" eyes to see that we're not. I loved this movie, although it didn't make sense to me that the "angels" in this movie could love and feel so deeply, yet not shed tears, or experience emotions, unless they "died" and then became human. I know..it's just a movie, and Nicholas Cage played such a very beautiful angel.

I loved this movie...so sad that some people don't know we are never alone because the lord Jesus is with us always! Even though, I get the song...I Walk Alone...even the death of a relationship brings back these feelings of lonliness.
