in Thailand we called "CHA-Chuk" << maybe that's why they brought here at Chatuchak market (Cha-Chuk at Chatuchak)

it's origin from Southern Malacca maybe from Malaysia, Singapore or Indonesia but not Thailand at all :)

  • Chuck Norris?

  • here in singapore we call it. TEH TARIK

  • He's a water bender!"

  • We need to make a movie about his life!

  • a-ma-zing!!!!

  • Just tried it myself.

    ...I'll fetch a cloth.

  • Not trying to be racist, and sorry if I offend anyone, but Asians are good at everything!!

  • @ginarocks75 By saying "not trying to be racist" and "sorry if I offend anyone" you're inadvertently confirming your awareness of the fact that people may find what you've said offensive, yet you still chose to post the comment.

I can only assume that you don't actually care that much if you offend anyone. In which case, why even pretend that you do?

Personally, I don't think it is offensive (esp. since it's false) and people who get "offended" on YouTube need to be taken outside and shot.

  • @12389Law... like your self.

  • @Techn1976 You like my self? Thanks man.

  • Why malaysian culture is always quite same with another country? O.o

  • @LeoPhan1 same as the thai..most of the dance actually lao origin...your achitecture is khemer origin..you religion is indian origin..names like ayutthia is taken from indian ancient city of ayodhya..well what else..sepak takraw is malay origin despite thailand is always no 1 in the sport..and malaysia is always no two.

  • @nicofriday

wow you have such a deep knowledge of my country!

  • the last waterbender!

  • I call it waterbending.....

  • In Thai we call it "Cha Chak" which is literally translated from malay words "Teh Tarik" meaning "Pulled Tea". So, the locals who stated to you that it was Thai Iced tea must not either have had an idea how to explain it to you or don't really know that it's actually Malay tea. I believe those tea makers come from the southern provinces where Malay people are the Majority just by looking at their malay styled costumes. You should come to the south and explore more and even better of this!

  • This is definitely 100% not Thai tea and it's indeed Malaysian tea called Teh Tarik. Just a bit of additional info, it's initially originated in Malaysia and was first introduced to Thailand through the group of Thai Melayu people in the deep south. They brought this tea-making practice home from Malaysia and it was largely favored by the locals and then it started to spread everywhere in the south and then Bangkok.

  • o skurwysyn! o_0

  • Does this guy realize he could make a mint as a trick bartender over here in the Western world?

  • Who needs a blender when you got this guy around.

  • It looks like syrup or molten caramel when he handles it. It's hypnotic.

  • He has to be wearing heely's or something.

  • That was sick!

  • This guy could seriously make a lot of money street performing in the USA.

  • Other than looking cool, is there another reason for doing this?

  • @TheBearEzentials I like my tea thrown, not stirred.

  • @TheBearEzentials By pouring it repeatedly, it allows air to be incorporated into the tea, making it more "frothy". Also, it helps to cool down the hot tea faster.

If you're asking about why he does it while spinning, it attracts customers :D

  • the last teabender :s

  • like a boss

  • its like he defies gravity! :O

  • put a new definition in "playing with your food".

  • Teh Tarik it is.. In Thai, we call it "cha chuck" or tea pull

  • fantastic!!www

  • he's just a lad, happy with what he's doing: T DANCING... LOL

  • совершенно фантастические

  • すげー!これどこ?

  • @faredust77 It is not an orange rope, because you can see the tea separate at the bottom of the pour.

  • its fake...its orange rope :D :D

  • lol at the lady complaining

  • I can do it too

  • Originated from Malaysia, it is called Teh Tarik, which in Malay means: teh = tea tarik = pull. And it is known as a hot beverage.

  • @myrez I already mentioned that in the D-box.

  • @myrez how redundant

  • @myrez Although Chatuchak and Teh Tarik are both milk teas, they certainly taste different and I would consider them two unique drinks. Practically any Asian culture has their own variation of milk tea.

  • this just plain defeats the physics of gravity

  • I found this while looking for slim thugs 'like a boss'

I served time for smuggling snakes I bought at this very market <3

  • 18 people attempted this morning with hot coffee > fail and burned themselves.
