  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Slideshow covering my mom's heroic battle with lung cancer, one she lost but her spirit continues to fight for the others.

  • I appreciate you sharing this journey. I lost my mother to cancer in May and your tribute reminds me of her battle. Especially seeing the pill bottles and empty bed. I remember coming home from the hospital after she passed, seeing all of her pills/bed/medical items and thought to myself "what just happened??".

You take care and thank you for sharing, as it makes me feel less alone in what my family and I have been through.

  • idk if my mum will die... i think of it every time i hear my dad say "Mum will go to hostpital again" ofc it make my sad when i hear it, but worse would be if she dies when im only 12, she is like 43-44 or something like that, my sister boyfriends mum will die soon of cancer ofc... its always becuse the god damn cancer -.-' well i just want u to know that ur really not lonely... R.I.P

  • While watching this video I had a over since of peace I lost my brother this past august to crohns and during the video something made me look up and there was a beautiful butterfly flying around...... I just wanted to share that with you... I was always told that a butterfly sighting means a new beginning ..... Maybe our loved ones telling us to move on past the pain of them being gone but showing us there is a life to live.....

  • Lost my grandfather to lung cancer in September. It's going to be a hard Christmas season. He was the greatest man I have ever known--honest, wise, hard-working, with a great sense of humor. He started smoking at the age of 12, long before it was confirmed that cigarettes caused this evil disease. I miss him very much. I visit his grave often, and my grandmother is still grieving. Miss you Pappaw! But I know when my time comes, I will be reunited with you, and that helps me a lot.

  • I realy dont want cancer!! =(

  • Here is the deal. People die. Mostly, they die because of their own choices. I do not mean to denigrate anyone's pain, but it is just the reality of our lives that we must die, and those who are left behind are certain to grieve, but when the hurt lessens they must get on with loving, laughing, and living. Time is short, and those who go before us teach us that hard lesson. So feel the pain, shed the tears, and then reach out to life and use your time to connect with those who are still alive

  • My mom died of Lung Cancer when I was 11. I'm 12 now, and it hasnt even been a full year, but people are already forgeting her. My mom's Dad and brother died of lung cancer as well. She only had me, my bother and sister, our step dad, my dad and a few friends. She kept saying she was going to make it but after 4 months, she died. Right as I started middle school. Anyways, Im sorry. <3

  • Cancer cure:

    watch?v=wvzDHGLEUyw

  • Please know, God does not give cancer. The bible say ".time and unforeseen circumstance befall us all ( Ecc 9:11)"...but he DOES help pick up the pieces and gives you peace of mind 1 Cor 10: 13.

I am so sorry that you are going thru this...

  • god i can't even image my mom dieing that would be the end of me. part of my soul taken.

  • @joshman144 i think the same thing :/

  • That brings back sad memories: still,I can state that a hard test as it can be,can make you get a better man. That was one more gift from her, still in her final hours

in her very last minutes she's been able to help me... once more.

I don't look back looking for her,I look forward watching her preceeding my steps.

    Hugging you dear womanofrespect.

  • thank you so much for the video :)

    absoloutley gorgeous

  • My mother died of breast cancer when I was 15. I'm 58 now. You never stop missing your mother. Thank you for sharing.......the music is hauntingly beautiful! I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother but I believe sharing your story and your pain might help others. Please continue to be vigilante about your own health, as you stated the family risk factors. Do all that you can, to share life with your own children. God bless you and thank you again.

  • wasnt very heroic if she died was it...

  • @PipweedTheGreat

Heroism does not necessitate or insinuate victory. Heroism is the capacity to stand in the face of challenge and adversity, toe to toe, eye to eye, and hold your ground. Heroes can be scared. Heroes can fear. But they stand and fight regardless.

  • what up with the toilet 0:40

  • @PrettyGirl12330 kinda thought that about the soiled linen too at 2:50. maybe they're metaphors? for how shitty life is. maybe.

  • my hole world almost died a few years ago a doctor in tulsa told sherlene she had pancreace cancer if she did not get surgery right away she would die a slow painfull death after the surgery was over he told us he was wrong it was not cancer after all then he went on vacation and left her she got an infection and spent three months in a coma being a patient in four differant hospitals in two differant states not okla. for more info, go to ms bones 1950 a slow death or ms b a waiting grave

  • My father died when I was seven years old, he was my best friend and the worlds best father. We use to play hotwheels cars and shoot marbles. I'm fifteen now and still cry about him, he will always be missed. now i'm scared that my mom will get it, she is the only person i have. I'm scared of death and kinda hope that i die before her so i don't have to live without her, like my dad.

  • @Savanna1613 Be the best you can be and have strength. That's all you can do, and it will work out well for you. Have confidence in YOU as you continue to love and hope.

  • My grandpa smokes and has lung cancer also hes my only grandparent left! =*(

  • I lost my Mother from Lung Cancer too. 3 years ago...she was 53...she hadn't smoked in 5 years but the damage was done.......:(

  • HI, IM VERY SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR MOM. MY MOTHER DIED TOO,MY PAYERS GO OUT TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. GOD BLESS

  • My country just hike up the price of cigarettes (from $2.50 a pack to $9.00 a pack) and guess what, there's less people smoking now!!!!

  • 7 people missed the LIKE button, or if they did it on purpose, YOU 7 PEOPLE ARE HEARTLESS!

  • now she lives?

  • Cancer is the #1 hoax played upon the West. Cancer's cure was discovered in 1902 by embryologist Dr. John Beard of Scotland. See the film: "World Without Cancer." Cancer, like scurvy & pellagra, is a vitamin-deficiency disease. Malignant cells & pre-embryonic cells (trophoblasts) are one-and-the-same. Indeed: cancer & embryos are new life. Errant healing cells = cancer.

  • beautiful *.'

  • @womanofrespect

I am very, very sorry about the lose of your parents. And yes I think you need to listen to happy music! You should do everything that will help you maintain your composure and a positive mindset. I also want to encourage you to accept Christ into your life if you have not done so. I know God is merciful! And I believe that your parents are with him as a result of mercy, and what Christ did. I will be praying for you! God bless!

  • thankyou for posting this video, it makes me feel as if i'm not the only one out there that's expeirencing this. i'm 16 years old. my mum passed away on the 11th of this month. she had small cell carcenoma which eventually spreaded to her brain and liver. and i can honestly say my mum was the definition of virtuous, i will never forget my mum, and i wish i could bring her back but i know she's in no pain now and has had the kiss of god to enternal life.

thanks again for posting this it helped.x

  • God bless you! I just lost my father 2 weeks ago to throat cancer. Thankyou for makeing these videos.

  • My beautiful mama died only days after yours (oooshitman9) and I nursed her for 10 months and never left her side, and I don't think I have really laughed since.... This music made me cry, in fact most music does now and I loved to listen to it before, but I just can't.. Life is strange isn't it..

  • nice vids

  • inforce1.com you have got to get your hands on this to help build your immuine system...it really works

  • Thank you for sharing.

I can only imagine how I appear in my daughter's eyes.

Your Mom was a BC hero.

  • Thank you for this beautiful video. My mother is fighting a battle with lung cancer right now. I can't imagine my life without her but admire her strength. Seeing her sick is the hardest thing I've ever been through. My deepest prayers for your loss.

  • In the Orient, whereat cigarette-smoking is @ a higher per capita rate; whereat people begin smoking @ a younger age; whereat the cigarettes are unfiltered; whereat the people eat bamboo, brown rice, beet tops and other hydrocyanic-acid-rich foods in abundance cancer occurring in the lungs, in the respiratory system and anywhere else is rare. The good smokers there succumb to the smoking-related/smoking-aggravated ailments of emphysema & asthma.

  • may your mom rest in peace. my mother is currently battling cancer of her own. i know she will make it.

  • I'm so sorry, for my sweet sixteen party I won't ask for presents... I will ask my guests to bring donations and then I will give that money to an cancer awareness foundation. And someday when I get older I will fight to find a cure. I'm tired of see of many people is dying everyday, I'm just fourteen years old! and I've lost my grandfather and my grandmother, actually I have a friend with cancer and my math teacher also have. SO I'M TIRED and I will MAKE A CHANGE.

  • I am sorry for your loss. I wish you strength and healing in the time ahead. the video is very moving testament to your love for your Mother.

  • i hate cancer it killed my aunt, and my cosin who was my best friend

  • this is bullshit i smoke 4 paks of player's non filter a day and im still alive

  • But if you live a long life it will be shortened if it dont kill you by then

  • Very nice video. May God continue to bless and keep you.

  • I'm SO sorry! I wish people would STOP! I can't go in public much because of smoke. I can't go to my brother's house. Smokers run the damn country, the tobacco countries own them. Your mom didn't look very old. Which is even scarier, if people are dying younger. RIP to your mom.

  • im 12. my mom died from cancer

  • i lost my gran to cancer and now i donate all of my money to cancer research

  • The daughter seems more interested in herself thru the pics, I didn't listen to the music. My sis died of lung cancer in '95. She was 29 yrs old; the youngest of 9 childrn. She was not a smoker, but exposed via chems i think.

  • i hate the sad music makes me sad

  • @usmcusmcusa My entire world, my mom, died horribly 9 mos after my father commited suicide & tried to kill my mom too. Should I be relating to "HAPPY" music @ every struggle in my journey? A bit unrealistic I think. Why should I hide my sadness? I did this tribute as a wake up call to the soul shattering pain I feel - maybe a viewer can identify with it & know, they're not alone in this journey. Maybe it can intervene. Maybe I can help someone go through this pain.

  • @womanofrespect My dear friend killed himself and nobody's been the same eversince. Did your mom die of cancer. I offer my condolences to you no matter how she passed. You are not alone in your struggles.

  • @womanofrespect You are so right! My heart goes out to you for al that you have been going throu.I pray for you and think about you, hoping that you will have a good future.God bless you!

  • @womanofrespect you helped me

  • @womanofrespect How old are you? Are you married how old was your mom?

  • @womanofrespect We do not die but go back to the before life. Your Mother is happier now then you'll ever know and you will see her again.

  • @usmcusmcusa My entire world, my mom, died horribly 9 mos after my father commited suicide & tried to kill my mom too. Should I be relating to "HAPPY" music @ every struggle in my journey? • @womanofrespect you are a good person, help someom

    ne else i feel this

  • @usmcusmcusa What, you want let's dance party music? Get a brain!

  • Wow, Beautiful tribute. Love the song. Sorry for your loss. I am really trying to get my husband and just found out that my now 16 yr old is smoking, to STOP!

I am a nurse and I see death everyday, what a horrible way to go, and the stress on the family to watch them die this way. My god bless you and heal you through your sorrow, I hope that this and all the other video's touch one smokers life before it is to late!

  • My Mother died Jan 27 2009 at 46 years young... I was her only child. :( I miss her So much.

  • @oooshitman9 So sorry but remember she's resting in peace and is in a better place looking down on you xx

  • Ich kann kein englisch hab in der schule nicht aufgepasst =(...aber wünsche jdem der sowas hat viel viel glück damit man es überlebt usw von ganzem herzen...

  • SHE IS YOU GARDIAN ANGEL NOW!

  • I hope so :)

  • Before I jump into any conclusions... Did she smoke? There is a woman I really like who does that and I have tried to warn her so many times and she doesn't listen :( So if this is the case, I would send her this link... :/

  • Yes she smoked, but there is much more genetic influence for my family. One in 6 smokers gets lung cancer. Four of four sisters in my family, mom's siblings, all got lung cancer. The most recent I found out 2 weeks ago and it's advanced. Smoking is awful and responsible for a lot of lung cancer, but people need to be more aware and take the stigma off smokers. Yes, send the link. If it helps to show why someone should quit for real, they should see my family's pain.

  • But 1 in 6 is still a huge number. 50 % of all smokers die from smoking in different ways so... :/ I would hate to see her go this way if she could also prevent it :/

  • @womanofrespect One in 6, that means SOMEONE in my family is going to get it, I have 4 brothers and a sister, and some of their wives/hubbies smoke. Maybe THEN one of them will STOP!!! My mom refuses to believe or is in denial it's so deadly. My best friend's mom has been hospitalized for smokine related illnesses.

  • My deep thoughts to the family and friends who lost someone very close to their heart. May you find comfort in the good memories she shared with all of you.. My heartfelt sympathy..

"Death is not extinguishing the light; it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come." ~Rabindranath Tagore

  • God bless you and your mom. I just lost my dad on sunday from lung cancer. I never thought my heart could hurt this bad. I don't know how to go on with my life without him.

  • My grandma died of lung cancer as well. I miss her so so so so much! This video is very well put together. You seem really strong.

  • Thank you very much. Soon it will be 2 years since I lost her, I know how it feels to miss them so much. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss as well. I'm strong but weak at the same time. Helping other LC patients again, once I have healed more, will help ease the pain. Knowing my mom`s life and death made or is making a difference is a tremdous gift. I wish you all the best. Rhonda.

  • You had a wonderful mother I know that because of the love you have for her. Her beauty lives through you and your daughter. God Bless.

  • Thank you for your wonderful wonderful words, they bring great comfort even though you never knew her. She was amazing. It`s been very hard on me in recent months, but you are right, I look into my daughter`s eyes and see them both. God Bless you too.

    Rhonda.

  • I'm sorry you lost you Mama, sweetie.

Beautiful video you've made. Thank you for posting it.

  • Sorry for your loss , all the love xx

  • what's the title of the song? Nice melody...

  • Thats such a beautifull video, I work in a residential/nursing home which also takes on palliative care & I'm v. much familiar with all kinds of cancer & they're effects .... Whats the song called

  • Is that your brother the police officer?

  • womanofrespect, It's truly difficult to put into words how I feel about this touching video. I lost my mom to lung cancer a year and a half ago, and I miss her evryday. But, she , like your mom, lives on...in our hearts and our memories. Please take comfort in knowing that Jesus lives and your mom and mine are with him now, and she still loves you very much! I'm sure she is looking forward to the day when you both can again embrace in Heaven. What abeautiful tribute to her!

  • I just lost my mom to pancratic cancer. nice vid. your mom would be proud.

  • Dear Woman of respect,

My deepest prayers for your loss. It's never easy to lose someone especially a mother. I'm very close with my mom. I thank you for your video since each time I watch it I'm reminded of how fortunate I am to have her here with me. I was wondering if I could ask you to send me the name of the song in the video. It's the video titled mom's heroic battle with lung cancer. Altho I don't know you, I will always be touched by this video and the words in the song.

    Franclalou

  • Thank you for your kind comments, they , mean a great deal. Sorry for my late reply. The song is called "LEAVE ME NOW" by Jann Arden.

  • Cigarettes should be illegal! More addictive than HEROIN, yet it's legal. PUBLIC HEALTH HAZARD. 2nd hand, now 3rd hand smoke. Very hard to quit, the success rate is very low.

    My deepest sympathies.

  • @KamiMetal Who said cigarettes cause lung cancer. Wake up and realize non smokers get lung cancer yet it is the one underfunded cancer there is!

  • @KamiMetal yes cigarettes should be banned,i stopped smoking after 36 yrs should have done it years ago my dad died 20 yrs ago through smoking(lung cancer) it was terrible to see him suffer.

  • they would not benefit you except with that which God has written for you. And if they were to gather together in order to inflict harm upon you with something; they would not harm you except with that which God has written upon you. The pens have been raised and the pages have dried."

  • when you are looking at a lush garden, and to feel that you are in an unbearable prison when you are living on a vast and spacious earth. You have the true Religion to live by, a house to live in, bread to eat, water to drink, clothes to wear, a wife or a husband to find comfort with; why then the melancholy? "If you ask, then ask of God, and if you seek help, then seek it from God. And know that if the whole of the nation were to rally together in order to bring benefit to you in anything,

Truly a large mansion will not protect you from the effects of depression and neither will be a beautiful wife, abundant wealth, a high position, or brilliant children. Sadness causes you to imagine poison when you are really looking at pure water, to see a cactus when you are looking at a rose, to see a barren desert

  • Everything occurs according to preordainment and according to what has been decreed. Nothing happens in the Universe except through God's Knowledge, Permission, and Divine Plan. You became despondent due to a calamity, and by doing so, created additional calamities. You became depressed because of poverty and this only increased the bitterness of your situation. You became gloomy because of what your enemies said to you; by entering into that mental state,

  • Very touching video. So sorry for your loss. I know your pain, I too lost my Mom to cancer -- a horribly unkind illness that causes so much pain and heartache. Sorry again for you loss.

  • great vid and sorry for your loss, god bless

  • I understand the pain you are feeling.I lost my own mother as well to this horrible disease.you

keep strong and dont let any of the ignorant comments that ppl make here keep you from expressing how you feel about your mother.take

care and know that there are decent ppl in the world who care.Bless you and your family!

  • this is so thoughtful im sorry that your mom died... r.i.p. and GOD BLESS YOU

  • dude fuck you

my mom died of lung cancer and you know what?

she was a fuckin hero, until the very last breath she took she fought and if you havent been through what my family went through then you have no fucking right to say that. if you fight cancer you are a hero because it is one of the hardest illnesses to fight and dickheads like you shouldnt be able to speak until you experience it firsthand.

  • You don't have to be so harsh on her/him. Geez he/her just made a video of him/her's mom. My grandpa has cancer and is going to die soon so...just lay off.

  • This is a sad story that she is sharing, of a lost family member and more critically a mother. We ALL have mothers, and to lose your mother, if you are even half human, is tragic at best. You sick bastxxxs that get to poste here make me sick to my stomach and are proof that humanity is going to the shitz. Spelling errors on purpose. BUT< there is enough of us good guys and gals left to kick all your sick asses out. :-) Sorry to hear about your loss... Mothers ARE heroes

  • this video is realy sad and my mum is also very poorley i think horrible comments like that are evil and not human if that was u reading that how would u feel u should be banned and im gonna mek sure that u r kicked off this site

  • never mind how you can make comments like this, why are you making comments like this? WTF is wrong with you, just don't watch the video if you don't like it...

  • IdealMaxima you are a pothetic excuse for a humen. how dare you post a comment like that karma is a bitch and she will find her way around to you. your a joke and your mom should have let you run down her leg insted of giving birth to you. sarry ass.......im done!

  • What a pathetic excuse for a human you are, can't even spell it you idiot.

And why is karma a woman? No one of importance can ever be a woman.

  • Why do people have to make idiotic comments

    about videos on youtube?

  • I agree.

  • well ur sweet..

  • IdealMaxima, it seems like you're the attention. "Waaaahhhhh!!1! I wet myself when people post videos about non-heroic people who died."

Guess what? No one cares about retarded opinions. Go away.

  • Beautiful video. Your mom is a hero. To endure all she did even before the cancer and then to fight as hard as she did...little did she ever know that she would inspire cancer advocacy, bring total strangers together as friends, and make people who didn't know her at all love her as she was their own.

  • Good job. Your mom is an hero. You win one internets. So when you pray for me are you going to be like, "God, please yadayadayada Idealmaxima"? Don't you think the big man's gonna be like, "LOLWUT? WHO THE HECK IS IDEALMAXIMA? I DON'T REMEMBER ANYONE NAMING THEIR KID IDEALMAXIMA. LOLYOU STUPID"

  • Again you COW..learn to 1.- SPELL and learn proper grammar before you spill your random nasty thoughts. 2. Don't stop by if you don't like it.

  • wow, you leave me speechless. This video is for her MOTHER who has passed away. If the video or her comments bother you, why not just keep it to yourself and move on?

  • LMAO. If you judge a hero merely by winning or losing, it's you that has lost. A hero is someone who gets up everyday and fights for their life even though they know they are probably going to die. I'm sorry that the bravery of my mother is lost on you. Cowardice comes easy, as you have just demonstrated, but bravery comes with character and selflessness. You do not anger me, I actually feel sorry for you. You'll be in my prayers.

  • womanofrespect; My deepest sympathy. I've lost alot of my own family to cancer. The foolish comments on here are done by people who live in fear...their way to cope is to make fun. It's definitely NOT normal..they need to be pitied.(you're right) If you get upset then THEY have won the game. The Laws of Karma being what they are..what goes around comes around. VERY Soon THEY will have to face the test!

  • LOL?? You need to get FUCKED!...You uneducated jerk. If you don't have anything nice to say, why bother stopping in?

  • God Bless Her and Your Family.Amen.

  • may god god bless her

  • She needs to take vitamin B17 and wheat grass shoots. So do the rest of us it is scientifically proven google it up.

  • i heard about that wheat grass i got two boys my 5 year old has sicle cell and my 2 year old thalessemia major its a horrible disease

  • That must such a challenge. I have two boys 6 & 4. My six year old is a risk for cancer and so am I. I hope you get a hold of the B17 and Wheat Grass. It will help. You can look up the vid here on You Tube. I belive it' s under: Why take enzymes and wheat juice. Take care girl. Hope to hear from you son. Your Friend Yadi =)

  • yes i will look it up i hope you and ur child does not get cancer i rebuke that now in the name of jesus!!!!!! why are you at risk i would love to know and be your frind thanks for replying take care god bless you and ur family

  • god bless her and your family

  • This is absolutely beautiful. I lost my mother to lung cancer March 31, 2007 at the age of 52 and it was the hardest thing I've had to endure so far in my life. I miss her every day....I still cry often. My thoughts and prayers go out to you from one daughter to another. With love and prayers for peace, JA
