as a songwriter/composer, things like this are infinitely valuable to me...Larson was clearly a genius, but this is so unassuming...it sounds like the witty ramblings of a greenwich village songwriter set to a piano and midi drum set backing track and yet it went on to be the anthem of one of the greatest rock operas of all time...a lot can be learned from this...

you can get this song on the Jonathan Sings Larson CD, and the lyrics come in the CD booklet. It has some other songs from Rent, too, like Valentine's Day and a bunch of other great songs. I would definitely recommend getting it! :)

Its so sad that the show is closing today! He is great. I only wish I could have seen it on Broadway. I'm going to see it in the theaters. Its such a shame he didn't live to see it but I'm sure he will watch over the show tonight. RIP and thank you Johnathon!

I know. I've cried over his story so many times. But if you think about it, he fulfilled his life purpose. He created a legacy, that can never be topped by any musical. He still had so much great in him though and it was a tragedy when he died :[ Thank you, Jonathan Larson ♥
