in the lyrics geo says "if she ever hears this it'll be an honor". her granddaughter is maya kochiyama and everyone should send her this song via facebook to get her grandmother to listen to this!
@haberflave seriously this made me wanna change the world to, its fucking sad that people these days rather care more about fame and money than help out the world and saving kids in africa that are starving wishing when there next meal is. Thanks Blue Scholars, this song was inspiring
Tears.. for real. Wow. This is the kind of track that makes me sit and think, "what the fuck you doin with your life bra... get the fuck up and change the world".
I love the fact that they made a track dedicated to Ms.Kochiyama. It's great to listen to this but if you guys don't know about the individual they're talking about on this track please search her up.
After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Kochiyama's father was imprisoned. Her family was sent to a Relocation Center in Arkansas. In 1960, Kochiyama joined Malcolm X and was a member of his Organization. She was present at his assassination at the Audubon Ballroom, and held him in her arms as he laid dying.
In 1977, Kochiyama joined the group of Puerto Ricans that took over the Statue of Liberty to draw attention to the struggle for Puerto Rican independence.

"I see the picture up in Life magazine
You were sittin' front seat for Malcolm’s last speech.
Saw the first man with the shotgun (Boom)
Two more came to get the job done.
Now who would've thought that it'd be you holding him?
I wonder what you felt when his eyes were going dim.
And if he never died, would we know that he exists?"
