obviously he's vocal chords has been damaged by the drugs he took during his success it's not the same anymore but at least they were at it's peak when he recorded .

"Drifting on a memory"... this song never gets old to me. You can hear the age in Mr. Isley's voice but the man is a living legend & keeps doin' what he loves, sharing that God-given gift with the world.
Ron Isley is the greatest singer in the history of R&B. His style, his soul, his fashion, his voice, and the raw funk of the Isley Brothers will never, ever, be equaled. Their list of hits is unmatched in the annals of music, and to be still going since the 50's is truly extraordinary. Throw in the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, James Brown, whoever you want. They come close, but for the total package of talent, mature sensuality and soul, the Isley Brothers take it hands down.
I would like about some of the wonderful city inside call Linco;N Heights. This was a non White of town. This suburb was all where you could come, and see, and here. These Brothers I am from there Generation so I Know a lot about them, and speak of a generation of what it was like, LgarrisonII@gmail.com Back In the Day it was far worst now. But I still Love my town!!! Cincinnati Ohio(Madisonville)
@2009Denisem the ISLEY BROTHERS rule and there will never be another like them! you can never go wrong with THE ISLEY BROTHERS! thx 4 the request share and Thank you @gilferrerand1 for posting this gem!
Dam this man is an icon and I hope that you dont expect him to sing the way that he did when he was 20. He sounds just fine so stop hatin dam it and give him his props. You aint up there singin so close ya lips!!!!!
Okay how does 1000 people compare with millions of fans? When you figure that out let me know. This man help create a whole new young Black generation because of his music. We all still play his music from the 60's,70's, 80's, 90's and well into the 2000's so there is no comparison to that. You have some good exposure but not enough to leave rude comments about Mr Ron Isley aka Mr Biggs.
@WWIIman666 - Please remind us of the songs that you have written, produced and recorded. Also refresh us on the sold out shows that you did from the 1970's to this day. Oh yeah, don't forget to mention which year that was that you won your Grammys and Music Awards.
@XXSAUCEYXX I agree and you have to remember;quiet as it was kept, previous to these performances Ron had a mild stroke that had him briefly hospitalized.
Ron Isley suffered a stroke not long before this video was shot. It definitely set him back. This is NOT typical Ron Isley. Look up the videos of him performing just a couple years previously with Burt Bacharach (they are on Youtube). They are incredible. It's a shame this is the video that was released, because it's NOT Ron Isley at his best. Seriously, look at some of the other live videos of him and you'll see what I mean.
WWllman666 Thanks for posting this comment, it now puts you in pole position for the dumbest twat on "you tube". So you believe playing in front of 1000 people gives u the right to bad mouth the Isleys, who have entertained millions and had 23 top 40 singles and 16 top 40 albums, what have you written that we might know? Anything that competes with That Lady, Harvest for the world, the Highways of my life........No, I thought not !!!!
Whos on drums
