  • The last note sounds a little soft. Interesting ending... =)

  • @ngpaul25 I Love this soft ending, it´s simply great!

  • @ngpaul25

the last note is a scandal

    into the hell with chailly

  • Damned Mr. Chaillly, why do you destroy this symphonie of my best friend ?

  • @222mozart Chailly Destroyed the symphonie? This is one of my favourites versions of the molto vivace....

  • @NikolaTesla234

    I cannot understand this...

  • Bravissimi tutti. Stupendo.

  • Beautiful

  • ah that's great, I had never heard a ending like that 4:42

  • anyone know the name of the instrument at 0:49

  • @BEEpowder In the foreground are 3 bassoons; in the background is a clarinet, bass drum, and set of timpani.

  • @mill0625 the bassoon, thank you very very much

  • @BEEpowder I believe that is a Bassoon :B

  • @animelover2212 thanks very much

  • Dear poster. This video marked "part two" is exactly the same as the previous video marked "part one." Do you have the 2nd part?

  • @brando92346 No it's correct, this is the second part, a sort of "da capo" which means a repeat of the first part but the video is not the same

  • @brando92346 Yeah, you're correct. Sorry. I looked at it more closely. They look identical until you get to a shot of the conductor. I find it interesting that the camera shots would be identical starting with the conductor, then the timpany, then the back shot of a violinist and the sheet music. It all looked like the same video to me. Thanks for clarifying.

  • this piece is sweeter than cake

  • I swore he was gonna pull an eye out 4:20

The Director is a very funny guy haha he's good

  • Great one!!

  • Brilliant Masterpiece

  • This is just a godlike piece of music... I am incredibly lucky to be one of the few people being in the audience this very evening and see this LIVE...!! I was not able to hold back my tears of joy and so I am again by watching this video now. Riccardo Chailly is such a great character and Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig can be proud to call him their conductor!

  • I love this moviment *-*

  • This performance is brilliant.

Sure, the combination: Chailly and Gewandhaus is really spetacular.
