  • A lot of the reason why we don't understand his messege is because we don't understand it's context or meaning. To fully understand the bible, you have to look at the culture of that time as Jesus was relating to them in their lives at that time, obviously some of his teaching was directed to all his followers and he taught to everyone the truth about Gods love and character.

  • Jesus and His message is understood not by the intellect but by the heart: the ultimate act of God's Grace.

  • I can't understand Jesus and His message. Can you?

  • Read the scriptures and try to consult with any Paster they will be of help to you for free

  • love one another and have no other god.

  • @dorianmyrer21 : Read the Bible in Matthew to Revelation. It is all explained.

  • @dorianmyrer21 Read the bible

  • If everyone in Jesus family and his kin knew who he was from the virgin birth, why did they reject him and consider him mad? Also, why didn´t Jesus choose disciples that could write and read, enabling them to pass on his teachings directly instead of later gospels based on an oral tradition several decades ago?

  • several decades later, I meant...

  • Who told you that the apostles didn't know how to read and write? Who told you that 2 of the 4 Gospels weren't written by Jesus' apostles and the other two Gospels by 2 authors directly related to the apostles? Some unbelievers claim that the people who met Jesus didn't write anything in the Bible and that there has been no actual proof that Jesus ever lived. There's no "proof" in their eyes because they refuse to see the truth.

  • They desire Jesus to be a myth so much that their mind can no longer accept clear evidence. But indeed there is a lot of evidence for Jesus existence. The 4 Gospels as well as the book of Acts have been placed in time by historians between 70-100AD. Philos71s Youtube video 'Every atheist/skeptic must watch this!' provides irrefutable evidence in favor of the Gospel according to John, who was one of the apostles.

  • He mentions one powerful source of evidence that links directly to that Gospel. Link is w w w .youtube. c o m/watch?v=GdoKAtwWbhs (eliminate spaces). The external source was Iraneus who was Polycarp's disciple who was John's disciple. He writes about how Polycarp told him how he saw with his very own eyes Jesus' disciple John writing right there in front of him the Gospel we have in our Bibles which proves that the Gospel according to John is a FIRST WITNESS ACCOUNT.

  • Because the other Gospel books tell similar stories to those found in the book of John, we can only conclude that they are all real. The evidence is there but unbelievers have to open their eyes and wise up. Everything the New Testament says really happened. Jesus is one of the most well documented people of history insomuch that to have the audacity to claim that there is no evidence, such person must be suffering from extremely strong delusions and is in urgent need of psychiatric evaluation.

  • There is a lot less evidence for Socrates and Alexander the Great existence than there is for Jesus. The earliest history book that is in existence today that serves to authenticate Alexander the Great historical existence date back to 600 after he died. Historians claim that 6 original sources were used to compile the ones written 600 years later. Such sources don't exist anymore but somehow we don't question Alexander's existence.

  • About Socrates, there are NO contemporary books written about him during his lifetime. We only have a few philosophical writings by 2 of his supposed disciples by the names of Xenophon and Plato. Another author that wrote about him was Aristotle.

  • Did you read what I just wrote. I say I agree with you that Jesus probably existed...

  • Some scholars have questioned Socrates' existence and some even suggest that MAYBE he was a fictional character that became a popular figure used to represent philosophical thought at the time and included by philosophers when developing and sharing their philosophy. But somehow we don't question his historicity. About your allegation that Jesus' family doubted Jesus, ask yourself this, would you believe your brother if one day he tells you that he is The Messiah?

  • What makes you think or believe that if some of Jesus' brothers doubted his allegations that He was the expected Messiah and that His kingdom was not of this world and that before Abraham was, He already existed, even backing up his claims with miracles among His people and His superb wisdom, they would somehow had believed Mary of her virgin birth and angelic visitation without proof?

Read NT. Jesus many times criticized His people for being unbelievers. Read His parable of the Rich & Lazarus.

  • In it, Jesus tells what happens when we die and how Sheol is an afterlife with a paradise in one half and hell (darkness of death with no fire but person is completely aware of his/her eternal lonely fate away from God forever) in the other half. The Rich man who always denied food, shelter & love to the poor leper Lazarus ended up in hell and Lazarus in paradise. The rich man wanted water because he felt as if suffocating & asked Abraham in the other side to send Lazarus to bring water to him.

  • Then Abraham told him that he couldn't send Lazarus to the other side because there was an abyss in between. Then he told the rich man that his present state was his punishment & Lazarus received in paradise what he never had in life.

Then the rich man told Abraham to send Lazarus from the dead to warn his rich brothers of the terrible fate that awaited them & Abraham told him these words: "If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead."

  • Jesus told this parable to explain various things.

    1) What happens when we die (though paradise is not in Sheol anymore but Jesus took it with Him to Heaven when He resurrected).

    2) That we shall share what we have with our brothers and sisters.

    3) That love is the answer for humanity to live in peace and to please God.

    4) That unbelief is a human weakness that not even a man that comes from the dead can change. This is why Jesus exhorts to live by faith.

    #4 explains His family's unbelief.

  • I didn´t say Jesus never existed. I have never claimed such a thing. I think that the biblical Jesus is based on an actual historical person, but it is a big difference to acknowledge the existence of an excentric, radical rabbi in acient Palestina to claim he was a divinity with supernatural origin and powers.

Maybe I am a deluded, irrational person like you say, but listen then to Jesus and have mercy on my feeble mind and convince me instead of insult me, please...

  • Remember though Daniel, how many times does gospel account mention "That the scripture might be fulfilled" or "It is written" or "you study the scriptures and they testify of me (Jesus)". He was prophecied before. He was not random figure, an incident that happened out of chaos. It was all done according to His Father who by the mouth of all the prophets from Moses to Malachi, declared HIS birth, life, ministry, death and resurrection.

  • Jesus is God in human form

  • big mistake here - Jesus did not build his church on Peter - the pebble, he built it on the confession that Peter just made. that Christ is the son of God- The Rock is Jesus

  • The rock is magdeleine

    The church is you

    ;)

  • Wrong KJS72. Read and learn...

    Ephesians 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

THE CHIEF CORNER STONE, the ROCK.

  • Read the codecs that werent included in the bible under the direction of Constantine.

I would agree that Jesus is the cornerstone though.

  • good men come and go jesus was one of them

  • No offense, but Jesus is MUCH more than a good man. He was sent to take on ALL of our sins and although it was more painful than any of us can imagine, He did so without complaint or as a coward. Knowing what He had to endure, He let it happen to follow out Our Lord's plans. Good men come and go, but there was only one Jesus who walked this earth.

  • Jesus went but he is still here, with us in our hearts. His footsteps still mark the earth

  • I Think That Mary Is So Beautiful.

  • yes she is amazing, her blue eyes and childish face

  • Mary the Mother? Of courseeeee! Me too.

  • I love Mary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you posting this movie on youtube. You know, some people live in countries, where it's impossible to buy this movie in easy way. I am so grateful to you.

Isn't this movie outstanding at least in one way that the director made Judas such a loving and passionate scholar? Of course, there are other hundred reasons to find this movie AMAZING (among other 10 movies about Jesus Christ).

  • mm. yes my heart went out to judas while watching this. anyone would have been in his place

  • 2:44 - "Jeeeeeezahsss of NAZARETH!!!!" Lol

  • Chapter 16 wow this one of my favorite scriptures!!!!!!!

  • you know politicians. they knew they couldnt kill the message. but they just want to postpone things long enough for them to rule. and then when they are gone and dead? let the next king worry about it.

  • They should have learned with what happened with John the Baptist that they couldn't kill Jesus or his message.

  • No one? Really?

    "Watch your tongue!" ...

I say you are Messiah. The Son of the Living God. I await thee.
