Ha Massa been good anywhere at all??? Especially concerning Hamilton, Massa is a cry baby, maybe that is what his engineer ment in 2009 with "Felipe baby".
that 2002 race was ridiculous if I remember rightly, I'm sure that was the one mclaren told coulthard to stay out because it was only a passing downpour and then it tipped it down the whole race
I feel for Massa. He outperformed Raikonnen for 2 years 08+09 pre Hungary crash. Nearly got the championship in 08. He is a force to be reckoned with and anyone who discounts him this year for the title is an idiot! I would not be suprised if he out scores Alonso by the end of the season.
Are u serious lol? U should have seen some of their drivers from the early 90s like Ivan Capelli and Gianni Morbidelli maybe u would think otherwise after seeing them!
@JRRacing85 Massa nearly won the 2008 Championship, in spite of the fact that Kovalainen helped Hamilton. In the Ferrari this way it wasn't, so...bigger applause for Massa for establishing the fight against Hamilton
Massa nearly won the 2008 Championship, in spite of the fact that Kovalainen helped Hamilton. In the Ferrari this way it wasn't, so...bigger applause for Massa for establishing the fight against Hamiltonem
Massa is capable of mixing it with the best in the world as he showed in 2008. Unfortunately he also showed once again that driving in the wet is his major flaw. British BG, how many times did he spin the Ferrari? Raikkonen too (whilst Lewis Hamilton was lapping 6 seconds a lap faster than anyone else). Massa: Great guy, great driver, shit in the wet ... period. Some drivers just are.
Well he's never driven in F1 without some form of traction control/throttle help/electronics aiding him. I know all the other drivers do, too, but Felipe's wet weather efforts are often poor.
I do rate him highly, though. He's come on strong. Hopefully in '10 he can take the fight to Alonso!
Erm - 2007? When he came from dead last to 5th and was incredibly fast throughout the whole race? In fact if he didn't stall - I believe he would have won as he was the most heavy of the front runners.
this is one of the tracks massa stills struggle at. wet silverstone, monaco , and australia. No luck there. But it's good to see his progress. When he at sauber he look like he not ready for top ride. Then he gets a lucky break with ferrari and show us he can drive :D . I am not fan but I respect all driver.
Yowch. Massa really doesn't like a soggy Silverstone. But a lot of his races were quite erratic in 2002. It's amazing how he went from a tiny hurricane to world championship runner up. THAT's determination.
wrong alonso is the best, whereas nico rosberg is the most underrated closely followed by sutil. i dont want to mention vettel hes not the best but he'll possibly win a world championship but if he does he'll be the most uncharasmatic/boring champion since phil hill. He's as stimulating as a crotchful of gonhorea and ants
i think vettel is better, because massa is an F1 driver for long time, and i think hamilton and vettel are better, i think that kimi is also better.. so..
brazil 2008 home race, pole position?, rear gunner in raikonnen, needed raikonnen to let him pass and ferraris have been the dominant there since just after senna
barrichello, last weekend, home race, pole position, best car in the field, lighter than webber, lighter than sutil.. in the end... 8th position with 45 secs deficit...
do you... seriously think i think i was the one thinking home races mean anything to drivers. i have never thought that i was merely replying to someone else about somebody thinking massa was great in 2008 whereas you come along with youre misguided commenting fetish and blurt on about how barrichelo didnt do too well, though a puncture and fast webber had something to do with that
Massa drove great in the last race last year even in the rain. Hes one of the better drivers in F1 today. F1 just needs to stop changing the rules every ten seconds and let the teams do their thing.
I also remember Massa in Fuji, taking out Hamilton. I remember Massa in Canada 2008 not even managing to get a podium even after Kimi and Lewis had retired. I remember Massa struggling to do anything right at Monza last year. I remember Felipe's constant spinning in Malaysia '06. I remember Massa crashing at the first corner in Melbourne 2008 even though nobody had touched him. I remember Massa getting 2 wins in 2006 whilst his teammate managed 7. I remember Massa being gifted a win in Spa.
massa in canada 08???? you moron... tat was a gr8 drive to finish 5th itself... ferrari made a mistake n he had to pit extra soon after the safety car period....remember his double pass of rubens n hekki in tat race???????
In Monaco '08 he made an error, went down an escape road and handed the win to Hamilton. Saying he drove well in China is a bit optumistic. He did still have 3/4 of a race to go. He could quite easily have made many - many - errors.
He was told to do it by the team and he did it in the face of being disqualified. Whilst a bad thing, i respect his ability to commit to the team. Anyway, we were arguing about his Massa's driving, not about off-track, in-court battles.
And I remember Massa had a great fight with Kubica in Fuji... But Massa and Hamilton both are great drivers and have the makings of being champions. (Hamilton is already one :D)
in my opinion Hamilton will be a great driver, but in 2008 was a very bad year for he. He won because the others drivers was worster (Massa and Raikkonen) or they haven't a good car (Alonso, Vettel and Kubica)
As worster as you're inglish. He won in '08 as he was the best, despite all the FIA and Steward's attempts to stop him with their relentlessly moronic decision making. Like with Alonso in '06. Alan Donnelly's gone now, though. Thank fuck!
No, non è ironia.
god he had as many spins as he did at silverstone this year.
massa is a Ralf Schumacher kind of character, when hes on form he is unbeatable, but when he isn't he is pretty mediocre. He does deserve to win races for sure, but not championships, he isn't a well rounded driver like kimi or fernando
This is why Massa doesn't deserve his Ferrari seat. Simple. He's come a long way, but these qualities still occasionally show thru such as Malaysia these last two years.
But he now is getting used to being at the top - yeah it has taken a long time but you can't fault him this season, apart from the early rounds of course.
Well that' the point. everyone here watches F1, they're just all fanboys. Lewis fanboys, Alonso fanboys, kimi fanboys, Massa fanboys. People have got to be realistic with their lauding of someone.

2008 is so different from 2002, anyway it was his first season in F1.
Even if he's not as good as Kimi, he's still a talented driver with rocket speed (and i said even if)
Actually imo, his only problems are consistency and mental ability

Massa is the BEST!!! Just learn to live with it!!!

Lots of amateurs in this place...
Massa can only win from pole. Kimi doesn't even need to be in the top 15 to win a race
- He did it at bahrain 2008.. that was a win from outside pole. It should have happened last year in europe too.
would like to hear from someone who actually watches f1 here!

Well that' the point. everyone here watches F1, they're just all fanboys. Lewis fanboys, Alonso fanboys, kimi fanboys, Massa fanboys. People have got to be realistic with their lauding of someone.
