The original song starts with those chords...sort of.

You have to capo your guitar to the 4th fret then hold the chords as if they were C, E, Am, F, G.

Since the capo is at the 4th fret it would actually be up 2 steps: E, G#, C#m, A, B.

it's funny because the lead singer of bright eyes can't really sing. i love it when people who have good pipes sing his songs, good job. i think that you could make it happier sounding. it might me a good change. but still very good.

You can try a program called Audacity that several artists use for creating and mixing their music to remove the static... but it depends on how high quality you recorded to it.

Some audio recording programs will have filters that remove noise. Really good ones will require a noise sample (Record 2-5 seconds of the noise present during the particular recording), so they can do a frequency analysis and take out the noise most effectively.

a lot of times the static is from the camera itself rolling. try recording in a bathroom... lol. sounds weird but you'd be suprised by the acoustics.

btw, if you search on google you'll find some software that will help you in removing the static. But I think you are probably better off finding the cause of that static and preventing it from getting on the audio track in the first place.
