Основные силы противника будут уничтожены еще до боя. Сверх держава имеет космическую разведку, непробиваемое ПВО, господство в воздухе и стальную лавину танков. Грузинскую армию смогут защитить только женщины и дети, если встанут живым щитом. Но зачем Грузии такая армия?

@shadowpero Military looks good glad my country could contribute towards its developement. Thanks for your countries service in Afghanistan with US military training which has NOT been tested in the 2008 war the Russians should have their hands full if they try again. Hope our countries can be brought closer together and Georgia to become part of NATO.

@susliq A countries usefullness in NATO is drawn from their williness to participate in the operations NATO commands. Afghanistan is a testing ground of this alliance some countries fight such as Denmark, Canada, UK, Georgia, and of course the US. Others stay up north not wanting to get their hands dirty France, Germany, Italy ect............. Georgia donates near 1,000 men that are now working side by side with US marines in Helmand province one of the worst provinces.

You are right, but beside of anti-terrorist operations, NATO is mighty geopolitical formation, and also indicator of american influence in the world.
Country entering NATO must show ultimate political and social stability, every country in NATO is guaranteeing each other's independence.
So, it is impossible for other NATO members to take responsibility for countries like Georgia or Ukraine.
It is too dangerous, and, for now, makes no sense.

Well, just sending some peacekeepers to help NATO does not mean entering alliance. Finland and Sweden have sent troops to Afghanistan too, but they are not nato members.

I appreciate American influence in Georgia. I know how awful did they live before westernisation.
But i think it is obvious that 08-08-08 conflict was planned between Moscow and Washington long before escalation.
It was really strange:while Russia is conquering parts of such a tiny country, all the Big West pretends that nothing is happening.
I am on side of conspiracy theory, nothing can be so simple and easy.

No, it wouldn't be good. It means great tensions in Transcaucasian region, also, there is such a problem like Armenia with russian military base on its territory and armenian Karabagh, with permanent shooting on Azeri border (almost every week).
It means that America becomes responsible for all the problems in this not so nice region. I don't think your country need another Afghanistan or Yugoslavia.
By the way, interesting conflict -Nagorno-Karabakh War. Google it.
