The best wrestler to have never won a WWE world title IMO. Call me a mark if you want, but I put Benjamin over British Bulldog, Mr. Perfect, and Owen Hart when it comes to best wrestlers to never winning a world title. Sure, all 3 of those guys had great mic personality, but Benjamin's in ring ability was excellent. With that in ring ability, he should have been a great prospect in the WWE.
I saw Shelton wrestle in high at the upper state and then state championships his senior year. He looked like a giant compared to everyone else. At the state championships he would take guys down, let them up, walk away and then when they got up take them down again. There were about eight mats in the gym and when he had a match everyone in the gym would get up and move over to that side to watch. This was 1993 or 94. I was a freshman at the time. He was as big in high school as in this video.

The best wrestler to have never won a WWE world title IMO. Call me a mark if you want, but I put Benjamin over British Bulldog, Mr. Perfect, and Owen Hart when it comes to best wrestlers to never winning a world title. Sure, all 3 of those guys had great mic personality, but Benjamin's in ring ability was excellent. With that in ring ability, he should have been a great prospect in the WWE.

I saw Shelton wrestle in high at the upper state and then state championships his senior year. He looked like a giant compared to everyone else. At the state championships he would take guys down, let them up, walk away and then when they got up take them down again. There were about eight mats in the gym and when he had a match everyone in the gym would get up and move over to that side to watch. This was 1993 or 94. I was a freshman at the time. He was as big in high school as in this video.

Shelton got released because he apparently couldn't do well on the microphone. Of course, in order to be in WWE, you need to be an actor, as well as wrestler to make it. Shelton should have been pushed to the very top during this feud with Triple H, winning a good 3 or 4 world titles (WWE, ECW or WH) by now. But instead, the WWE decides to push actors like Cena into stardom. How many times has Cena won a world title? 9. Shelton is 9 times the wrestler than Cena.

NONE of them will break out to be something more than what they are. Benjamin is a top wrestler and have been given the shaft because he didnt go over well with the fans. @payneicecold3000, That was my whole point, Jack Swagger can draw heat and can actually put on decent matches if given the proper time to tell a story, his match with Undertaker on smackdown was very underrated, but WWE booked him to loosed match after match to the mid-carders while he was champion, pretty much making him a joke, if he was actually booked to win and put in a decent angle with a wrestler who could make his look good on a constant bases, he might of had a better run.

R-Truth really doesn't have a world title magic about him. Swagger and Shamus have it and that's why they are former and future time champs, more then likely. He just doesn't put on good matches and mic skills are good at best.
