i just got hit with koobface today. At least i had my norton, or else that virus wouldve been in my computer. it started as a message appearing to be from one of my fb friends, saying hi, how are you? soon, i figured out that the messages were coming when he was offline. that hit a trigger poing in my brain. when i clicked the link it said i had to install adobe. it had all m friends there to trick me. the video name had my fb name on it. it rlly didnt look like youtube. but thank god for norton

@smileyface12363 i had norton but im not sure if i got it cuz i downloaded it but then norton told me to shut everything off so i did wen i turned mah comp bac on it was a bit slow but i could go to websites like norton mcafree that stuff wondering if i got hit and norton removed it....

@VandolphVibar09 it log's in and sends automated email through mail or through messenger, it sends it to all your friends in alphabetical order then log's out. It then looks through your cookies to see if you have accounts on other networking sites. It then send's links to all the friends on the other social networking sites. It the repeats. While the bot is working the infected PC can be remote accessed by the hacker or the worm can replace files with itself.

@lovepinkxoxo100 What u should do is go download Anti-MalwareBytes and then do full scan just to make sure u get rid of it all then after you're done get rid of all the infected items you have found. Then of course itll tell u to restart your computer. Then try quick scan after youve restarted to see what has been left of the KoobFace Worm/Virus. Then restart again and your computer should be showing regular performance again.
