I noticed he had air radar and what shows all the air craft and land vehicles on the mini map and the range is a lot bigger than a traditional mini map and when the missile is fired it will show up as like bubbles on the mini map.

From what i can see you will have to know roughly where the missle is comming from. Then as you u-turn and slightly dive down, alternate boost and breaking to make faster turns while maintaining speed.

It's actually not hard at all to dodge heatseeking missiles, especially if you know from where they are being shot.

So it goes like this you get a missile fired beeping sound and start banking right or left while maintaining high speed like 310-350. This will allow you to dodge the missiles as heatseekers can't do sharp turns and will just fly past you.

If the shooter is close to you, start banking immediately, if not (500m~) give it a second or two before banking. Good luck

@xakepipx but there is a trick to it .. the trick is having the heatseeker perfectly aligned with your jet .. then is the moment when you bank .. because if you bank and the heatseeker is not aligned in a straight line with you .. kaboom... you just made the job easier

I don't know what you did there but in your video missle travel time is 2-3 times longer than normal. Actualy you can't avoid missle. You have a lot of time to press X but You don't have time to escape him I tried and missle always hit me in the 3 sec or so. Sorry to say it but your video is a lie. And talking about flairs I am "happy" to say to say that there is a new hack that make missle hit you and even if you use flairs. So over all this video is garbage.

I usually just fly using flares regardless, since usually when I start getting missiles fired at me (from god knows where usually), I'm stuck in a tight dogfight with one or more people as it is, so I can't really make the wider afterburning turns like that without getting gunned down. for the nay-sayers, fire extinguiser and evasive techniques are far superior than relying on flares or a jammer. simply because of fact that missles will not be the only thing shooting at you if you're any kind of decent at flying. flares dont stop bullets. a fire extinguisher will help keep you in the skies no matter what hits you. though if you're good enough you shouldn't get disabled in the first place, but flukes do happen now and then.

The way real pilots avoid missiles is by turning into it, say if a missile was coming from your right you would turn to the right as you travel forwards if you turn left your heading in the direction the missile is heading making it a lot easier for it to hit you, I know that might not make sense but you have to think of the speed a missile travels. This is a lot easer to do in real life because you can turn your head in real life! Dont know why they didnt add that in BF3 ace combat did!

the trick is to turn into the missile as it closes in so it can't follow your turn and overshoots. however in most cases you cannot determine where the missile was fired from and you should keep flying the way you are the first missile wont kill you and if it came from a stinger you should be out of range by time he reloads. and if its a jet shooting at you... well i wont tell you what to do just in case I'm the one on your 6. lol

Not sure if it applies here, but in Battlefield Play4Free and Battlefield 2 you could avoid air-launched missiles by doing a barrel roll just above the ground. The missile seemed to lose its lock and hit the ground if you came out of the roll a few meters above land/water.

Oh, and you can do this in scout helicopters aswell, at least on missiles coming from the ground, and you need to know where the missiles are approximately coming from. Takes more practice tho.

Just hold the descent button about 1,5 - 2 seconds before the missile(s) HIT you.

Works 90% of the time if you master it :)

Its tough evading missiles but necessary if you want to use the extinguisher. You need to let it track you for a second then make a steep dive or turn. Sometimes looping helps.
