i'm afraid that between 2.13-2.15 it seems pretty clear this is playback - check when she says the end of "family" and she takes a kind of breath .. you hear it, but don't see it in the video, if you see what I mean. I sooo wished this was live, and I almost believed it.... But at least, when she sings live in this tour, she's brilliant.

@Kongkos Thank you! I've been a fan since 1985 and she doesn't fool me anymore... I'm afraid to say she's been using this "pre-recorded live" versions consistenly since then. They sound live but they are soooo not. And I'm very disappointed. I didn't even buy the Sticky and Sweet DVD. Mostly playback (just like the Confessions), with pre-recorded live versions.

In the Reinvention, I'd say, for instance, Nobody knows me, Vogue, parts of American Life, Die another day, Into the groove, Papa don't preach, possibly Holiday were playback (I guess). The rest were live. In the Confessions, I'd say Future Lovers, Jump, Sorry, Erotica, Lucky Star, and Hung up were clearly playback. But I've got the feeling most of the rest were re-touched big time!

She has all this dancing & singing practice (check the extras of Re-invention and Confessions tour) to let it go to waste? No, she's a perfectionist and she wants to give the fans her everything. She wants to stand out so she does everyting live even though she KNOWS she's not the greatest singer (or dancer).

@Kongkos Imagine you would be singing and dancing for 2 hours straight, wouldn't you get pre-recording to catch your breath once in a while? During songs (and definitely towards the end) you can clearly hear a breath because she's tired. Have you seen Spears' tours? That girl dances her tits off and not once is she out of tune! Madonna dances controllably and with a certain calmness because she can't dance wild and sing perfect (nobody can unless like Spears' you playback).

It did say 'Italians do it better' at some shows. Depending on where she was at she also wore shirts that said Brits, Irish, & Midwesterners as well. And on the Japanese leg during the Confessions Tour tour she worn one for them, since she missed Japan on ReInvention.
