God of War: swimming at Challenge of Poseidon part 1.

I feel REALLY sure I saw at one point years ago a way, during the Ares fight, to get to the other side of the bridge/arena border and smack him around from safety. Reading through your glitch guide it talks about doing a high jump, but when I do it, a "high jump" only keeps me in the air, I don't go higher. Then I read about the swimming glitch. Your guide talks all about the pros and cons, but FORGETS TO SAY HOW TO DO IT! Then here, you're mostly off screen when you do it. How do you do it???!?

Especially in God of War I, there is no one single way to do swimming glitch since the locations where you can do it vary so much. In this vid, I just swim out of the corridor through a small hole in the ceiling.

In Ares fight, the walls aren't too high, and you can get over them with a high jump... sorry if the guide isn't clear on this subject. Try this: Blade of Artemis air s,s,o, then cast Poseidon's Rage, then repeat BoA air s,s,o. You get slightly higher each time.

You must use the swim dash (with R1) to be speedy and wait in deeper areas below for the big black things to pass.

@AKheon lol, cheesy, the part before Poseidon's mouth when you glitch there, there should be a weirdish white dot, go to it then back off really fast, if done right, you'll swim in the place with Trident of Poseidon and or the place with the lever to open the gate inwater.

I tried this so many times but I always end up in the place with Posieden's trident or the place with the harpies and the switch.

As you start swimming in the dark area (before posieden's mouth) and I swim towards the left I can only ever reach the place with posieden's statue (where you get his trident). I can't get to that pool are (at 1:50 on your vid). Which way do I swim?

Try to simply rise upwards first. The camera should soon change so that you can see Kratos better. From there, keep on going left and forward. You should eventually see the gate in the distance, and crossing it after that is not too hard (as long as you don't swim in a corridor or the camera doesn't change erratically).

It's not difficult. Use magic to prevent the pups from growing up. Dodge a lot.

You can grab them (and they bleed) but it seems to do no damage.

Hmm, why not just go to the top of the palace and finish the level that way. Who knows? It may be possiable.

The areas of this game are rather strict in this respect. If you tried to leave the correct route, you'd end up to a completely unloaded place and couldn't proceed.

I did the first one a couple times and couldn't see crap. Just a black screen so I gave up on it.

I've haven't activated the swimming glitch much to swim in air. It does seem to help with understanding invisible walls and environment better though.
