I played RE CV on Dreamcast in early 2000's, then I played RE CV X on PS2 and I played GC version recently. So I saw this vide and did not see any difference, CAPCOM did it just to keep the money off the fans. Sad but true.

Does anyone know if you can stay online while playing this? My friend bought GTA San andreas on Xbox 360 and he has to sign out to be able to play it, anyone know if you can join a party while playing this?
@iMerk93 well i got the ICO collection and i was still online so you should be able to do the same with code veronica so yea you'll still be able to be online ^_^

I am dissapointed with Capcom. I know and agree with others that they are lazy with their HD remakes. With this and RE4, I didn't get the same feeling I got when they remade the first Resident Evil in the masnion, because THAT you must admit, was a GOOD port. Huge remake compared to the original PS version. But this..... this...... all they did was smoothen out some textures and add a little bit of shadowing.... This doesnt change a thing. Their only good remake was RE1 so far
@supercell1995 i know re4 looked good but only when you examined the items pcking them up was the same as the old one and on seperate ways and the other modes they didnt do anything
@supercell1995 prob cos it takes alot of money to do a complete make over like they did on res 1, cheaper for them to just smoothen out some textures etc. maybe they dont want to gamble on not making enough profit but would be amazing to see more res 1 like remakes

@umbrellaredfield123 4 was the technical first i ever played. and it most certainly is not my fave. at the time i expanded and played 2 on n64 and 3 on ps, then moved to outbreak which is my fave, and then code veronica which comes second. man those controls are fucked up....REmake was really tough with the crimsion zombies added, and 0 was freaky.. damn leech guys.... capcom needs to learn that the light gun games WERE NOT remakes and were just a disappointment...
@Leonthekigdommaster The REmake is the best one yet, those outbreak titles don't even come close. Resident Evil 0 would be close to one of my favorites along with the remake

And I think shame capcom ..., many years have passed would present HD to show as well, at least Remake graphics. and then added dynamic lighting and shadows, reflections on the possible textures and everything! That is. almost got to the shelves of dusty disk, copied to the new console and the front to launder money! The game is very good, but could have done differently in comparison as a part of the 1st and Remake!!! Then it let the PC release!

yes i just unlocked the rocket launcher god code veronica is the hardest game ever to unlock in story mode you have to beat the game under 3 hours with out no save no aid spray no retrys and give the black guy the medicine and save steve from the luger room quickly.
It is indeed the hardest re games to run through and get an A ranking, but heres the truth about what u have 2 do, beat it under 4 and a half hours,NOT 3. no aidsprays saves or retry's, so obviosly u can't die. give the hemostat to rodrigo whos mexican, and crack the drawer puzzle with chris to get the relec gold luger. and the the save quick saving of steve when he's trapped, but doesn't everybody do that quickly anyway. you could be right if the they changed things in the hd revamp
@umbrellaredfield123 lol i wanted to go for the infinite linear launcher but i just don't have the guts for a no save run. Especially at the end where you have to smash the crystal ball with the ceiling trap
@go555ace it's tuff, i've beat it under 4 and a half , but i saved once. u can also unlock the infinate magnum tooo. but yea that big stone trap should be in the top 5 re bosses u should not F&*^K with.lol what i do is wait till it drops, and run under it as it is still raising up, once u place the ball under your in the clear with a cut scene.if u always wait till it drops youll be fine, u can psych it out buy running up to it

@Aarongiles1 you should play the Silent Hill games If you like Resident Evil. Although, not SH Homecoming though, because it's rubbish. Stick with Silent Hill 1, 2,3 and 4 and you can't go wrong.
Ahahahahaha you may not believe me but I already have well not the 1st mainly because the puzzles were FREAKING HARD but I have completed the 2nd one where his wife is dead and somehow sends him some kind of message (SPOILER - he's actually kind of Coo coo if you get my drift) inviting him back to Silent Hill and their you go and start searching for her hopefully that's proof enough to say I have completed it.

I don't think Homecoming was a horrible game I just think it's the worst one in the series apart from 4 which i'd rather keep out of this conversation. If they simply made it less combat oriented it would be as good as 1,2 and 3.
@nath2k10 thank you I have recently completed a game "shadow hearts" for the second time it has to be one of my favourite games of all time and also one of the most underrated, it's a RPG with a brilliant twist where instead of just selecting attack and watching them you have to use a judgement ring to decide how much you take off anyway it has the most wonderful and sad storylines ever and you connect with the characters check it out on youtube and get it it must be cheap now it's for the PS2

The new one looks like it could be good as well I heard that even the makers of Silent Hill (forgive me for not knowing the company name) thought homecoming was bad and so started this one straight away. So I think that this one could be Good :)

My favourite Genres are RPG's and Survival Horror (I do like a bit of everything) I love the good old Final Fantasys and favourite RPG is proabably Shadow Hearts because it has a deep and sad storyline and u connect with characters a lot.

I used to have an xbox but it was stolen, so I decided to get a ps3 there so cheap now days, im not gonna get into the whole battle of PS3 VS XBOX, but owning both of them at a time, I would say there the same in value, maybe i lean a little toward the ps3, anyway yea let me know if u got a ps3 so we can possible game.
One more thing...the controls in the old resident evil and resident evil 4 ARE EXACTLY THE SAME, the only difference is the camera, I really hate when people say the old controls suck, the static cinematic camera angles that made the series are bad etc.
cntd: the only fps I liked were timesplitters, half-life and doom, I don't know about anyone else (or care too much in that regard) but what's so great about playing as a generic space marine with arms the size of tree trunks, the only action series this gen I like is uncharted since it stands out a bit.
Finally screw photorealism most of the best games were made with limited resources when the devs cared and put more passion in their work instead of lets copy that company and stuff the rest..
I love Code Veronica but I suck at surviving in it. I got a decent way in but I can't get this stupid keycard or whatever it is because two monsters are guarding it, I have like no health sprays and I'm epic fail. Lol
Darn, you poor soul... I wished I was there to help you play. Keep trying your best, you'll get use to the control soon enough. Try to conserve ammo's because later it will be difficult if you don't. :)

@randalolc but again my point is were you a born natural at the game after having not played it for more than 20 mins 6 years ago? If I played the game for a few hours I'm sure I would be fine with the controls but having never played veronic before it controls a lot different to res evil 4 (the vid I made before I made this). In summary I'm sorry for not being able to handle the controls within my first 2 mins of having ever played veronica in my life.

@p3rvypri3st It's really not that hard...First RE I played was RE2 and I was fine. It's not like zombies are that hard to avoid...They move like turtles. Also...use the dpad to move. Not the analog stick. Thay'll probably help.
@randalolc Or just focus on both. FPS are what you put 500+ hours into against other players, this is what you put 6 hours into by yourself. Still don't see what him having issues with old school RE controls, which are tough to get used to, has to do with CoD in the first place though, sounds like you just put that in there to talk or something...not too sure about that reference at all.

I don't think Homecoming was a horrible game I just think it's the worst one in the series apart from 4 which i'd rather keep out of this conversation. If they simply made it less combat oriented it would be as good as 1,2 and 3.

@nath2k10 thank you I have recently completed a game "shadow hearts" for the second time it has to be one of my favourite games of all time and also one of the most underrated, it's a RPG with a brilliant twist where instead of just selecting attack and watching them you have to use a judgement ring to decide how much you take off anyway it has the most wonderful and sad storylines ever and you connect with the characters check it out on youtube and get it it must be cheap now it's for the PS2

@umbrellaredfield123 oh ok sorry for mentioning the writing in caps, and thanks for refreshing my memory about Homecoming I wouldn't get it again It was a kind of a 1 off thing unlike the others but I'm not putting it down it was good for the storyline.
The new one looks like it could be good as well I heard that even the makers of Silent Hill (forgive me for not knowing the company name) thought homecoming was bad and so started this one straight away. So I think that this one could be Good :)

@umbrellaredfield123 Oh sure I have a 360 but It's in my Living Room (I said I was 14 remember) and I can't use da mic a lot because my dad is in their a lot and he plays 360 and watchs TV a lot I would love to have one in my room but eh that's life huh.
My favourite Genres are RPG's and Survival Horror (I do like a bit of everything) I love the good old Final Fantasys and favourite RPG is proabably Shadow Hearts because it has a deep and sad storyline and u connect with characters a lot.

One more thing...the controls in the old resident evil and resident evil 4 ARE EXACTLY THE SAME, the only difference is the camera, I really hate when people say the old controls suck, the static cinematic camera angles that made the series are bad etc.

cntd: the only fps I liked were timesplitters, half-life and doom, I don't know about anyone else (or care too much in that regard) but what's so great about playing as a generic space marine with arms the size of tree trunks, the only action series this gen I like is uncharted since it stands out a bit.
Finally screw photorealism most of the best games were made with limited resources when the devs cared and put more passion in their work instead of lets copy that company and stuff the rest..

@randalolc but again my point is were you a born natural at the game after having not played it for more than 20 mins 6 years ago? If I played the game for a few hours I'm sure I would be fine with the controls but having never played veronic before it controls a lot different to res evil 4 (the vid I made before I made this). @p3rvypri3st It's really not that hard...First RE I played was RE2 and I was fine. It's not like zombies are that hard to avoid...They move like turtles. Also...use the dpad to move. Not the analog stick. Thay'll probably help.

Still don't see what him having issues with old school RE controls, which are tough to get used to, has to do with CoD in the first place though, sounds like you just put that in there to talk or something...not too sure about that reference at all.
