Matthew 1:20 says:But while he thought on these things, behold the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying,Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife:for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. IN Matthew 28:18 & 19,JESUS came & spake unto them saying,All power is given unto me in heaven & in earth. Go ye therefore,& teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,& of the Son,& of the Holy Ghost

  • @ilililhy1 It is improper and disrespectful to use symbols when quoting Scripture. Quote it accaruately, or do not quote it at all.

  • @MimiDove9 Mark16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils;they shall speak with new tongues;18 They shall take up serpents;and if they drink any deadly thing,it shall not hurt them;they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (O and let` not forget ,the time Jesus single handly drove out the money changes, who bought and sold in the temple. Now ,do you think Jesus offended anyone that day? )did others think His actions were improper?)

  • @jessethom77 Good riddance, I say. You didn't have anything worth saying, anyway.

  • @jessethom77 What was that about me not answering your points? That's pot calling the kettle black. How come you're so thin skinned, anyway? You think I'M rude? Who are you, the rude police? Report all you want, if it makes you happy. I'm not intimidated. That' really what I'd expect from you , anyway. Those who shout "tolerance" are usually the least tolerant.

  • @jessethom77 I do believe you're threatening me.

  • @jessethom77 No, I don't think you would believe it under any circumstances. But those things would make it too obvious. The evil that accompanies pentecostal hip-hop is more insidious, like disdain for traditional holiness standards. It has to be deceptive, or it's not effective. Every church I have ever seen that does this music is suffering an erosion of holiness, all the while maintaining that it's not so. But it's just a matter of time. Because when the flesh is appeased, it demands more.

  • @jessethom77 Tattletale!

  • @jessethom77 Sorry! Guess I'll go listen to some skillet, maybe smoke a little crack. I'm sure that'll get my mind right.

  • @jessethom77 Wow! That's exactly the same effect Pentecostal hip-hop has on me! Not to mention nausea.

  • @jessethom77 Sorry. Nothing is wrong or sinful. Or even worldly. It only seems so. Oops! There I go being all qualitative again.

  • @jessethom77 And the defenders of hip-hop also keep bringing up the same lame arguments, usually followed by insults and name calling. Bottom line , there is a spirit accompanying this music, and it is of the world. Period. I've seen it too many times. Anyway, since you are on here with all your great wisdom, there really is no need for anyone else to even post. How did we even survive until you headbangers got here? Guess we'll just take our banjos and go back to the woods.

  • @jessethom77 Your channel, before you deleted it, stated your age as 17. You are still using straw man arguments. They are irrelevant. It doesn't matter if I'm an arrogant ogre who eats little kids, I'm still right about this music. The reason rock music exists was that a new, self absorbed, rebellious, spoiled generation needed to "express" themselves, and so they invented a vehicle to do so. All sorts of immorality rode in with it,and continues to do so. The same with hip-hop. It breeds decay.

  • I am 50 y.o. and enjoy listening to this song. It inspires me to worship, and that is what matters. Every style of music that is now "acceptable" was at one time "new" and "of the devil". I remember almost getting into trouble at youth camp when I was a teen for the music a group of us were listening to. It was the Hinsons. Back when their style of gospel music was "cutting edge" and "worldly". Those that condemned it then, sing it in church now.

  • @djvanhoosier So your point is, because someone didn't like the Hinsons, and now they do, no type of music is inappropriate, and no criticism is valid. That is quite a leap of logic. I'm afraid I can't make sense of it.. OK, then just answer this- if this type of music is so powerful, and so anointed, why are the flashing lights needed? Why the hip-hop nightclub atmosphere? I thought we were instructed to abstain from all APPEARANCE APPEARANCE APPEARANCE APPEARANCE APPEARANCE of evil.

  • @jessethom77 The reason I didn't answer all your points is that some of them were so ridiculous as not to deserve a response.

  • @jessethom77 You are so full of bull it's not even funny. if you are only 17 there is no way you can have much wisdom on anything, much less church music. I have been a church musician since 1973, I graduated from a UPC Bible college with a major in Christian music, have taught music in college, directed choirs for 30 years, traveled all over the US with numerous musical groups. That, I think dwarfs any "experience" you may have. If I'm wrong, no harm done. But if you're wrong, it's disaster.

  • @jessethom77 Music is not neutral. If it is, then why don't the hip-hoppers and rockers use hymn music? Because they are trying to achieve a specific effect, that of appealing to the flesh, which is what those types of music are designed to do.

  • @jessethom77 And so folk melodies were also shared. They were not tear in your beer songs. As far as me being legalistic, is the Bible legalistic when it says "Abstain from all appearance of evil"? Hip hop comes from an evil culture. It appears evil. And I guarantee you David was not "shakin his booty" to the latest trends in pop culture. You see, Jesse, if you are 17 yrs. old, that means I studied this forward and backward before you were ever born. That means I know more about the subject .

  • @jessethom77 You correctly identified hip-hop as the lowest of the low. It has an in-your-face attitude. God doesn't tarnish His gospel by associating it with sin. Did you know that the "BAR" songs you are talking about were not bar songs in the modern day sense? In those days taverns were not redneck beer joints. They were social meeting places where information was shared. There were no cellphones, texting, email, postal service-nothing like that. there were no radios, no music publishers.

  • I'll stand and testify...about the One who saved my life!!!

  • JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'll Stad And Testify,,.,,,,, About The One That Saved My Life!!!

  • maaan.. once the leader came out and began to sing...i just gotta say it and to God be ALL Glory.... i felt chills and wow... anointing.. praise God..

i like the song too.. =]

  • *VERY POWERFUL* Where can i get the chords to this song??

  • I love this song. bahahah My friend had it on in her car and I jam out to it everytime now.

  • I LOVE!!!!!!! this song it is so true everything is in that NAME!!!!!!!JESUS, JESUS, JESUS such an awesome name that has all power and deliverence. I would not be here if it werent for him. I give him my highest praise.

Do you have any more songs with Christina Pryor- I loved watching her sing this very powerful and annoited ---plus does anyone know how we can get the chords to this song my youth group wants to sing it but without chords cannot please let me know thank you

  • JESUS! no other name the Devil flees with that name.

  • @jessethom77 I have also noticed that the people who defend this type of music generally have no problem with worldly pop culture. They are enamored by it. Rock stars. Hollywood idols. Lady Gaga. And on and on. There is virtually no separation from the world.

  • @jessethom77 "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world." "Abstain from all appearance of evil." There are two just for starters. And there are plenty more where those came from. This type of music has a fleshly, worldly feel. Music is not neutral. If it is, then why don't rock and rollers use hymn music? Because it doesn't arouse fleshly lusts and passions the way rock does.God didn't invent hip-hop- it came straight from the pits of hell. He doesn't need to use it, either.

  • WOW!!!!!!!great song

  • @sensibleadult you need to realize that things in life will change from generation to generation... what does it honestly matter if as long as we are still praising and preaching in the truth?? you can't play the same songs for a thousand years... it's sad you've gone through this much trouble on this video and other "hip hop" videos.. but listen to the LYRICS

  • @eonix99 Who changes it? Who dictates that? Have you ever pondered that? You raise a straw man argument-no one said you have to play the same songs for a thousand years. I think it's sad that more of you young people don't see the harm in hip-hop culture that is influencing our music. If the lyrics are all that matter, why do people get so defensive when the music is challenged? I'll answer that. It's because this style of music comes with a ready-made attitude.

  • incredible song.. Incredible anointing. Just awesome! Praise God!!

  • I love this song, it is very inspirational. Sis can sing and you can it's from the heart.

  • Weren't people in the 50's and 60's saying the same thing about Ray Charles when he sang gospel music????

  • Are not WE to worship in spirit and in truth? Who is one to look into another and say what is true worship and what is not, What is the right way and not the wrong way?

  • @bugz2cor520 So, in your view, no one is wrong, everything is acceptable, there is nothing true or untrue, because no one should make judgements?

  • Who is one person to tell another person what is true worship and what is not?

  • i love this song. it it so anointed with anointed followers of jesus singing it. Wow GOD IS AWESOME!

  • I love Jesus. And this song is awesome :) I own this CD!! :) :)

  • everyone has their own opinions, thier own standards, they're own convictions.... just because you believe one way doesn't mean everyone else is wrong. So my opinion.. I like this song. They are singing about JESUS! His name is lifted up!

  • @nmgonzales89 No, it's not just an opinion. It is an undeniable fact that churches are allowing pop culture ( TV, movies, the entertainment industry) to influence their music. They are catering to the flesh and calling it worship. Even you have been influenced by relativism. It shows when you say nothing is right or wrong- it's only personal taste. If you take the position that everyone's opinions are equally valid, how will you respond when someone says you can worship Allah instead of Jesus?

  • @sensibleadult please explain where you got this informationso I can understand why you think this way. I'm not trying to be rude but I just want to understand your thinking and reference a little better.

  • @MysteriousMorpher I got it from a lifetime of studying the Bible and listening to Apostolic preaching and teaching, and from studying music inside and out. I got it from my instincts and common sense, and from seeing the way some so-called leaders and trends are influencing the church. I also got it from seeing the things that accompany this type of music, and ride in on its coattails, such as mod hair styles, hip lingo, loss of holiness, and disdain for anything deemed "old-fashioned"

  • You don't go to church to pay attention to the lights etc................. if you are and the Lord comes you just may be left behind. You go to church to praise and worship the Lord not the material things around you. Grant it that some do get carried away and it does become unexceptable to God and how dare us as pentecostals offer up anything but our BEST PRAISE from our hearts. We don't have to keep our music so old like back in pioneer days which is NOT bad but it is nice to combine the two.

  • @sherrie81309 With all due respect , sherrie, it is never appropriate to combine worldly pop culture trends with Apostolic worship. They don't mix. It's oil and water, night and day. The use of strobes and other such gimmicks are used to simulate a feeling of anointing. It is counterfeit. It fools a LOT of gullible people. And if you believe that it doesn't matter one way or the other, you just speak out against it and you will be targeted by ridicule, insults, and name-calling.

  • @sensibleadult I happen to LOVE this song and im Apostolic. just sayin'

  • @MissSpaz16 I'm not surprised at all. You probably like all kinds of pop culture stuff, like Alicia Keys, maybe?

  • @sensibleadult Wrong! I like Israel Houghton, Tye Tribbett, Kirk Franklin, John P. Kee, Francesca Battistelli, Casting Crowns. The list goes on and on, but I prefer Black Gospel. =)

  • NO one should be paying attention to the lights etc......... if your mind is truly on God then the effects wouldn't even matter. The point of this song is that there is TRULY POWER IN HIS NAME FOR ALL THINGS.

  • @sherrie81309 If we aren't supposed to pay attention to the lights, then why have them? It makes no sense. This is Pentecost meets MTV.

  • @sherrie81309

NO whats Pentecost meets MTV is this CHRISTIAN ROCK (heavy metal) if you will (ALTERNATIVE CHRISTIAN) Gospel Rap WHO ever heard of such FOOLISHNESS....................................... No one should be going to church to dwell on the material things going on around them just just be in one mind and one accord with the Lord................................

  • This kind of music is nauseating to me. What has happened to Pentecostal music? Why do we have to have flashing lights? Why does our music have to sound like a hip-hop nightclub? Why do we follow fads and trends of the world? I can't help but think that God is not exactly pleased with some of the carnal concoctions we are offering Him.

  • I love this song! We did it this past Sunday at The Sanctuary in Heber Springs. My absolute favorite to do with the Worship Team!

  • I love this song and would love to buy your CD. Where can I do that? You Ladys and Guys are difently blessed and annointed by the only true name and that is JESUS!!!!!

  • .To GOD be the GLORY

  • ... WOW! ... His power is definitely flowing through that gal's voice! AWESOME!

  • Girlfriend can sing! See unto the Lord a new song, Praise God.

  • YA'LL LET'S WIN SOULS TO JESUS!! IT IS TIME TO RISE UP HE IS COMING SOON!!!!!!!! =D

  • I am so glad that James Simms is the new music minister at my church, the Pentecostals of Apopka. He's incredibly talented and annointed, and he did a phenomenal job writing this song. I hope we sing this in church. This song would spark an break out service.

  • That may be my new favorite song.

  • Great music. True worship and annointing.

  • What corinian said. If it glorifies God it should be acceptable. I don't see that song as NOT glorifying God.

  • question. do you debate genre? because if im not wrong my bible tells me that we are just to make a joyful noise to glorify god. doesnt mean it has to sound good. it never said it was wrong to use a heavy song to do it. it just says make a joyful noise and praise the lord. so hip hop i totally support, metal yeah i listen to christian metal. gospel oh yeah big fan. i even play heavy guitar solos during church, but not for my glory i use it to glorify the lord. i accept it all. so stop debating

  • @corinian67 go crawl back under your rock.

  • places where folk melodies were shared. They didn't have music publishing companies. So it wasn't a beer drinking song at all. And they didn't try to look and act like and sing just like the beer drinkers did.

  • @sensibleadult I'm glad that you recognize that we've incorporated a number of devices that were not directly divinely inspired into Christian music (folk music, etc.). Does that make them carnal? If you say yes, I'll accept that. If you say no, what makes them acceptable? I would argue that it is God's grace that allows us to use imperfect methods to worship a perfect God, but I'd be interested in hearing any other explanations of how these conventions are allowed while hip-hop is not.

  • @JAC06 ok, if all music is neutral, why don't rock and hip-hop artists use easy- listening or hymn music? Because it doesn't ignite the fleshly passions. Rock and roll was spawned as a result of and in the midst of sexual immorality and rebellion against authority. They are still inseparable. Go where there are drugs and illicit activity and you will ALWAYS find this type of music. They feed off each other. Hip-hop , also, hatched in hell, has an in-your-face attitude that is not Godly.

  • @sensibleadult Maybe this kind of music was meant for Christians and the world decided to turn it around. Christians just took it back.

  • @AddisonBrooke That sounds like something from the 3rd chapter of your imagination.
