Is there like freebuild for this? I loved the game, but maybe i want to just chill and make my people happy (or miserable) with no outside interferance.
The very annoying this is that, I'm incredibly good at making perfect cities, but I can't make them without winning the land in about 15-20 minutes, I had to go on the date files and lower the impressiveness of all the buildings, just so I can actually have a proper city.
The start with huge armies was Epic .. Now its a boring building game. I like the creature feature but getting the tasks like .. Destroy all forests is boring .. ANNO is in my opinion far better citybuilding game with lots of things too doo
they should make the next B&W the gameplay more like B&W 1 but add the landscaping features of from dust! (that game is boring, only the landscaping is cool)

@MrDravde well, this does run on windows 7, thats 1. and 2: if u wanna run this game, make sure that u can also run games like Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, Star Wars Republic Commando and/or Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth 2. if u can run those games, you should be just fine^^

@MrDravde np^^ one tip: if ur trying to be good, only build cities. if u need defence, put archers on ur walls, u wont become evil. also, be careful when enemies have wonders. they will most likeley put the epic miracle (lvl after the 1st japanese has tornado, lvl after that has earthquake and last lvl has volcano) as close to your influence as possible. so try to buy wonders from your tribute ASAP, cz they give u huge influence. while keeping ur ppls pleased ofc^^ if u need more help lemme know

@MrDravde yes u can buy ur creature miracles from tribute. thats how he becomes more powerful and he can do more for you. and when he does things, it won't affect your own evil/goodness, but his own. for example: if hes killing soldiers outside ur influence, u see like evil, evil, evil rising up. this is his own evilness. so he doesnt affect your alignment. but do make sure that he does the right things. i told him once that its good to eat ppls and he ate my entire villageXD so careful wit that

But since B&W2 does not have support for future gpus (since the best one on its list is a X1900) so you have to manually change the txt file so you can enable all graphic settings (or those that your gpu can do)
But seriosly just buy a 4870 with 30€ or something and have fun with it with 120fps.

Developers didn't get enough money in Black And White 2, so they moved onto other games and are making 2s, 3s of those because they're the big money-makers.

Should have mentioned that the creature they show in the videos and trailers are much taller then the one u get in-game, they capped the height at 11, its just slightly taller than the gate. I was pretty pissed off getting a false sense of hope geting a huge epic creature but by the 4th or 5th land its at its highest and its deffinetly not epic at all. Good game though.
@TheIntenseIndieGamer It was a tiny bit challenging and you're right about no choices to make but I just enjoy B&W2 more. Maybe I prefer the close up city-building instead of Civ5 where you don't really see your city in detail.
@MrCurlyQu But Civ5 is a game, with things like strategy, challenge, multiplayer, free choice as opposed to completely linear gameplay. Any illusion of choice or challenge in B&W2 is just that. You cannot lose. The Good/Evil dynamic is gone; the game REQUIRES you to wage war, with the moral choices being reduced to completely superficial crap that DOES NOT ACTUALLY MATTER. This game is utter shit.
The next fable will be too much of a repeat of the 2nd one, and the 2nd one wasnt nearly as fun as the 1st, so instead of making more fables, Lionhead should really make a 3rd black and white.
two hints: when in area 2. put up archers along the walls, it does count as evil, but its an easy way of making sure no bad guys come in with the ppl that actually wanna move into ur city.
the fields are nice, and raise happieness, BUT evry 5 mins, my town wants another feild! holly crap pplz! you have 34 of them already!!! Mi gawd! :P
black and white 2 is bad....not as good as 1...true? cause too much interaction and not feel like a god, just a governor and like a RTS...not a god-lke game.
i loved black and white 1 because it was rather complicated to do things but it required you to do things that barely helped >.<. but again black and white 1 Creature AI was amazing how you needed to TEACH them how to do what you did.. but your creature is stupid in some ways that the more you tell them NOT to do something they DO it anyway
Eeeeeh I dunno, I really liked B&W just the way it was. I've heard this one is riddled with unresolved bugs. I also don't like the severely limited number of creatures, even with the expansion pack. How many were in the old game, over a dozen? Where's the mandrill, chicken, rhino, leopard? Apparently there is a gorilla in this game but you cannot legitimately obtain your own. Still, I'd like to give it a try.
I loved these games as a kid! Wish they made a 3rd one.

Should have mentioned that the creature they show in the videos and trailers are much taller then the one u get in-game, they capped the height at 11, its just slightly taller than the gate. I was pretty pissed off getting a false sense of hope geting a huge epic creature but by the 4th or 5th land its at its highest and its deffinetly not epic at all. Good game though.

@TheIntenseIndieGamer It was a tiny bit challenging and you're right about no choices to make but I just enjoy B&W2 more. Maybe I prefer the close up city-building instead of Civ5 where you don't really see your city in detail.

@MrCurlyQu But Civ5 is a game, with things like strategy, challenge, multiplayer, free choice as opposed to completely linear gameplay. Any illusion of choice or challenge in B&W2 is just that. You cannot lose. The Good/Evil dynamic is gone; the game REQUIRES you to wage war, with the moral choices being reduced to completely superficial crap that DOES NOT ACTUALLY MATTER. This game is utter shit.

The next fable will be too much of a repeat of the 2nd one, and the 2nd one wasnt nearly as fun as the 1st, so instead of making more fables, Lionhead should really make a 3rd black and white.

two hints: when in area 2. put up archers along the walls, it does count as evil, but its an easy way of making sure no bad guys come in with the ppl that actually wanna move into ur city.
the fields are nice, and raise happieness, BUT evry 5 mins, my town wants another feild! holly crap pplz! you have 34 of them already!!! Mi gawd! :P

i loved black and white 1 because it was rather complicated to do things but it required you to do things that barely helped >.<. but again black and white 1 Creature AI was amazing how you needed to TEACH them how to do what you did.. but your creature is stupid in some ways that the more you tell them NOT to do something they DO it anyway

Eeeeeh I dunno, I really liked B&W just the way it was. I've heard this one is riddled with unresolved bugs. I also don't like the severely limited number of creatures, even with the expansion pack. How many were in the old game, over a dozen? Where's the mandrill, chicken, rhino, leopard? Apparently there is a gorilla in this game but you cannot legitimately obtain your own. Still, I'd like to give it a try.
