  • The industry goes forward, and most of the buyers doesn't give a shit about Off Roading as they want comfort, good economy, and nice vehicle, but apparently you do because it's called "Cherokee".

Either stick to this or stick to your old Dinosaurs that they are better for you,and most importantly stop whining.

  • Facepalm

  • Wow, that is amazing. My WK1 SRT8 would just bottom out and teeter totter on the first hump.

  • new jeep's suck nuthing like the old 6inline ..!!

  • @MEXICALISSSS Ya nothing like having horrible gas mileage and 100hp less and injection problems. I too would rather have a old shit motor then the new pentastar v6.

    You fucking retard.

  • Getting to that mall must be such a bitch.

  • that is pretty impressive, even moreso that the entire course is wet

  • Damnit I hate when drunks go driving through the skate parks...

  • I'd hate to have to plow that driveway in the winter! :)

  • WORST DRIVEWAY EVER!!!

  • Like my Grand Cherokee.... :-)

  • Just test drove one of these today(overlander w/V-8)& liked it for the most part. The center dash area, where the navigation/radio/HVAC controls are, appeared cheap compared to other vehicles in this seg. V8 was nice, way better than v6s available=gas mileage suffers. Explorer is very nice, but underpowered/geared--I liked JGC, but loud interior at hwy speeds & sub par looking dash controls are keeping me back. Leather dash is nice--cheap interior w/good pwr or excellent interior w/minimal pwr?

  • wow, that thing has no articulation. man they went all soccer mom suv now on grand cherokees. i got a 97 ZJ and it has 4 times more articulation than that. come on jeep, go back to the rugged off road ready ways. enough of this strict street soccer mom concept.

  • @risendudelm i got ZJ as well and I agree with you. Independent suspension = no articulation.

  • @risendudelm I'm with ya buddy. For people who don't know anything about wheeling it may look impressive. But a car could pretty much accomplish this. At least Jeep is keeping the wrangler as a solid axle option. And with the new bigger 4door they probably figured it could take the place as the grand cherokee for those looking for offroad capability with room for 5 and gear.

  • @risendudelm Problem is this, the ones that won't the offroad ruggedness can't afford it. Thats why your driving a 97'. Jeep is the only one still making decent offroad vehicles.

  • ok this cool and made me feel sorry for baying a new ford EDGE for a min but who face a road like this when he go to work . for me this car is over power that i dont need. so guys don't think how cool is this and think ; do you need this thing or you don't. this is the way i think

  • Man, that thing does not flex at all!

  • I want to see this test done at speed ROFL

  • Wow, nice ride. Do any other SUVs have Air Suspension?

  • @keithrig Range Rovers do.

  • i hate dodge, but that was very good. Props.

  • @phatrides222000 it's a jeep

  • @H3LLK3RN made by dodge. mopar

  • Lol, it's doing the haters gonna hate walk.

  • that is sick

  • there is no air suspension on that... you can only get it on the overland

  • thought it was going to flip at 1:00

  • My prius can do better...... What a hater!

  • ugliest rims ever

  • how far up can the air suspension raise the jeep?

  • ehm...: Theres a flat road right beside these mini hills of frozen snow..

  • I personally believe this test is more about articulation then anything else. Notice how the Jeep does a good job about keeping it's wheels mostly on the ground. Traction really should not be a problem in that at least three tires are on the ground at all times. Quadra lift is all about raising or lowering the ground clearance. I believe the standard suspension, and all the available Grand Cherokee 4WD systems would do this test.

  • I have a patriot 2010 cause it's the best I can afford, I pretty happy with it, but if I was rich I'd get a grand cherokee for sure !!!!!!!!

  • you should redo the test with the 2012 Wrangler Rubicon

  • what kind of wheels are those?

  • im impressed.......

  • lol i know its a bad idea.. .but i wouldnt be able to resist going a lil faster then that :P #rollovermuch?

  • Who thought they were going to see a sick wheelie

  • Wow the second gen quadra trac works a lot better than the first gen.

  • theres land rover years of work taken

  • @Jony80031 Eh? This system is essentially identical to the ETC fitted to all Land Rovers for quite some time now.

  • QDI wos on WJ

    Wj never have qd2

  • Just imagen what it can do here

  • what are u guys driving overr

  • i didnt go for the air suspension most i see is mud and snow i dont climb rocks etc so there is no need for me have the air suspension IMO but im sure it helps other people out alot lol i already shelled out like 1500 for the hemi and the limited package im happy with what i got

  • my tundra could do this...whats so great about this?

  • @Gtbomb1 unless you have lockers or something close, i really doubt it could do that

  • @redstarjeep it really can. and it will last longer than a dodge or chrysler product :)

  • @Gtbomb1 then it must have lockers! yea i cant argue with that second part I have two toyotas

  • @redstarjeep Awesome yea it does man my tundra is a beast i take it off roading all the time the 4 wheel low is awesome! much better than the push button or the automatic one they have now a days

  • @Gtbomb1 Your Tundra's wheel base would be too wide. Tundra's aren't built to be off road vehicles.

  • Definitely it's not that plain but nevertheless it's cool:)

  • this is just plain cool

  • i could do that in my 00 gc with quadracoil and slec-trac

  • independent suspension anyone???

  • Hey guys, ive noticed i'n my 04 jeep grand cherokee that I have quadra track ll I've, I've been watching some videos and some grand cherokees have quadra drive ll , what's the difference and Wich one is better

  • @sladewehner1

Quadra Drive II is much better indeed, however this applies for 2005-2010 models. The 4x4 system uses el.limited slip differentials in both axles to transfer torque to the wheels with best traction. In my opinion it's one of the best 4x4 user-firendly system ever build :)

  • @peckopp you're correct except that it applies to 2005-2010...that's not true. The QD-II system was also available on WJ (1999-2004) models of the GC. I had an '04 Overland with it, but they were standard in certain Limited packages all the way back to '99.

  • @neidig78

... u are partly right ... the WJs did have QDII as well, however not the same one as on 05-10 models :)

Well, QDII is not always QDII ... the same aplies for 2011 model equipped with "QDII" (no more front ELSD)

  • @peckopp touche. the 05-10 use individual braking to control slip faster than the vari-lock on the older generation. somebody knows their jeeps...

  • @peckopp touche. someone knows their jeeps... if i'm right, the wk's used independent braking to give a faster response correct?

  • @neidig78

...it's not only about braking, the system uses electronic to engage the differential lock when a slip is detected and in some cases even before the slip occurs - especially in 4Low when the ESP is off...

  • @peckopp The 99-04 WJs had QuadaDrive and the 05-10 WKs had Quadra-Drive II

  • @chalupaalien22 I know, that's what I'm saying...so do the WHs

  • @chalupaalien22 I know, that's what I'm saying...so do the WHs

  • @chalupaalien22 I know, that's what I'm saying...

  • @chalupaalien22 I know, that's what I'm saying...

  • @neidig78 i had a 1996 grand cherokee Quadra Trac ABS-brake based traction control, is it Quadra Track I or II?

  • @neidig78 Quadra Drive II was debuted in 2005 in the WK. The WJ used the first generation Quadra Drive I (NV247).

  • @neidig78 he probably meant quadra lift

  • lousy test, lousy car

  • @maurojosed Not at all.

  • Dang this thang got some handles!

  • My lifted xj could do that with all 4 tires on the ground.

  • time to unbolt the sway bars. HaHa.

  • I'll take a Jeep with CRAP articulation WITH lockers over a something FLEXY with OPEN DIFFS!!!!!

  • @jayvando707 I wouldn't... My GC is pretty flexy and has never left me stranded where as I buried my old waggoneer to the axles with lockers front and rear... Actually a spool in the rear and an ox locker in the front. But either way... Been through the same places in both and the GC with open diffs and good articulation wins every time. As soon as I can afford it i will be putting an ox locker at least in the rear... I don't deny that lockers are awesome... but they arent always better.

  • @jayvando707 your just jealous because you don't have one.

dont get too technical Mr. smarty pants!

  • @jayvando707 Hi, few more details of your knowledge of the two suspensions, please.

  • Comment removed

  • @jayvando707 ill take flexy first then add my own lockers

  • @jayvando707, You want to visit uni-bombers hide out then buy a Horse. If you want to get to your favorite fishing hole in style with out spending a shit load of money-stay away from the brits and buy a Cherokee!!! Digg it? Save you Criticism. Consumers need options ass hole!

  • you guys are amazingly gay

  • Pretty crappy articulation.

  • @clearoyd Amazingly crappy, in fact. I think my mr2 has more flex.

  • Pretty LSD in there.

  • Very bad idea to be hitting the brakes like that right when the front end is coming down.

  • @blown4six You're right !

  • @blown4six ....i think the break assist stops it ne way by its self
