ITG forums. Bar = Makes things easier. There are no if, ands, or buts about it. Now saying that, doesn't mean don't use the bar at all. Hell, some songs can't be passed unless you bar it. All I was basically saying is that it is definitely much harder without a bar. To do a song without bar is just another personal achievement for some people. Just like how people play a song in reverse x8 or something. Do i play with a bar? Of course.

Traction is good always. Slipping around on the pad in ANY circumstance is bad for timing and produces unnecessary misses.

As for playing no bar, keep doing it. It'll keep the game difficult and interesting for longer. That's why I play no bar, in socks, on my toes.
