  • Excellent video. Did you have to rebuild the transmission ?

  • n bad

  • For all those asking about Fuel they run off Regular 87 unless you bought 06 or newer then they generally have 87 and E85. Anything else that would require anything is aftermarket.

  • Do u like how it does on gas? Pleases anwer me!!!!!

  • im about to get my 2005 p71 with 52,220 miles in a few days. waiting on the financing to go through. i cant wait.

  • I'm lucky to have gotten a local sheriffs car, love these things, I've started on the air intake (throttle body/plenum) on to the air box and maf which I gotta go scavenge off a 04 up to get the 80mm, then I'll do a tune. External tranny cooler then "maybe" rebuild the tranny but it shifts like new. It's a work in progress given its my daily driver to because I've started work on my truck.

  • Nice p71. I picked up an 03 with 97k on it. I want to get a Diablosport, did it make a big difference?

  • wow that vic's in great shape! what an excellent car. I'm in the process of getting an 05 vic my self it's just being safeted right now. Just curios about a couple things. What type of diablo did you get ex the Predator or the CMR? and secondly how much did yours cost?

  • @0nRay Thanks! --its a predator, got it a autoanything for $329

  • @Ryder276 Perfect thanks! a couple more things, in your video I noticed it shifts much firmer and immediate I didn't know ecu also controls the transmission as well! Second does the predator just change the firmness or can it change the shift points too?

  • @0nRay Yes the predator can change the shift points but they are FIRM from moderate to heavy throttle, it seems they (Diablosport) take out most of the torque management.

  • @0nRay --and with full throttle you will get a second gear chirp, --don't know if thats something you want..

  • @Ryder276 Perfect man yes thats exactly what I'm looking for. One more question does your fuel economy improve or worsen with this mod in your opinion?

  • @0nRay stayed about the same

  • @Ryder276 Perfect thanks! Just a couple of things, I had no idea the transmission was controlled by the ecu! Second can the predator control the shift points too?

  • @Ryder276 , just got the same p71, black and with all bells and whistles. im security and i got it through a Fed DEA agent, which is a friend of mine now; i still havent got the push bar yet. Is yours steel or alluminum?

  • @jaredleospirit steel

  • @Ryder276 hey do you know if 1999+year P71 Police Cars that were used by Police all have the tune up for 91 octane? Because my crown vic manual says that its meant for 87 octane, but the guy who sold me it told me told me to just put in 91 octane, because its not a regular crown vic. He is DEA so i listened, but i was wondering what would need to be done to tune a p71 for 91.

  • @jaredleospirit as far as i know they are all 87 octane. maybe yours has a aftermarket tune?

mine requires 91 octane because of the increase in timing although i could have opted installing a

    87 tune from the predator.

  • @Ryder276 , he said it feels like its losing power with 87. And he said 91 makes it sound and feel like "the car is happy". He said to try the two myself and hear the difference. What do you think I should look out for when I try the 87?

  • OMG I want that same Model!!

  • This looks awesome! i so want to sell my 99 malibu and get one of these..

    this trully dominates the road!

  • What is a LEO?

  • @fortytons Law Enforcement Officer

  • That sounds cool

  • Nice ride man. I have almost the exact same thing. 05 P71, white, only one spotlight and no push bar but i got the exact same cd player and tuner. Great taste!!!

  • @codycat91

Thanks! --my niece and her boyfriend bought that

cd player for me as a suprise.

Since this video i have taken off the push bar (holes plugged with fiberglass bondo and sanded/painted) and replaced the centercaps with full wheel covers.

  • @Ryder276

Nice dude I like it a lot. I also got a high flow air filter and two glass pack mufflers. If you got a facebook, add me and you can see the pics of everything. Another thing I did that I love is i put white gauges in it. With the white car, it looks so much better

  • @Ryder276 Why did you take the pushbar off? Do you not like the look? Hurts milage? Just curious.

  • @kmbop34 Looks better without the pushbar, did not affect mileage.

  • clean crown vic i bet that ride flies down the highway i gotta get me one

  • Well it's either an automatic, or you are telekinetic lol.

  • It's a beautiful car, but it's not a 2005... In 2005, the display panel was redone, the cars now have an RPM display, it was updated. You can always look at the sticker, if it DOES say 2005, it might have been built with an old display.. Again, still a beautiful car!

  • @EL173N3SS dumb

  • @SuperDieselbitch how so?

  • @EL173N3SS Thanks for the compliment! -but it is a 2005.

2006+ CVPI's have the upgraded instrument panel with the tach as

well as going from 16" to 17" wheels.

  • @EL173N3SS

It is a 2005, that was the only year the cvpi had the antenna on the back side.

  • @EL173N3SS also 05's have a fender antenna which this one has... hence it's a 2005

  • @EL173N3SS No, they did the display change in 2006 and 2005 was the only year that they put the antenna beside the trunk and not in the rear glass.

  • Hello,You have a very beautiful Crown Vic.I have a question here, Does it "Driving By Wire" kind of bother you? or just no difference? I know that 2005 was the first year redesign that, when you driving on high speed, can you feel that? Thanks a lot.

  • @CMCSSC566 Im fine with the drive by wire, no lag.

  • where did you drive this car at what rd and what state?

  • @breeze10000122 Corwin and Central roads, Apple Valley Ca.

  • How much did it cost to rebuild the tranny?

  • @caddyllacc $1,362

  • oh, ok thanks. the stock antenna is too long for my taste.

  • where did you get that shortened antenna? That isnt the stock one.

  • Got it at Autozone for like six bucks, it's just a universal

  • Nice P71 could we get some more videos of u driving around

  • @242eagle

ok did a driving video, look for 2005 P71 part 2

  • Is this the model that is popular with US law enforcement agencies?

  • Yes

  • nice car where was that filmed at?

  • Apple Valley Ca, -by the airport.

  • nice car.. i think it needs some window tint.. it would look good too

  • Great looking P71! I just picked up my 2005 P71 about a month ago. I hope you enjoy yours for a very long time. These are the greatest cars out there. Mine is a teal blast to drive.

  • Thanks!
