  • Common sense run faster = more weight loss, stupid question to this fuckin tooth pick is why would i get my heart rate up that high if im trying to build muscle? I prefer to do lower intensity cardio for the fact that i burn fat and never over work my self doing high intensity cardio to burn muscle...

  • @UtahBowHunter21 if you dont burn that fat on top of your muscle by doing high intensity then the muscle will never show.

  • i lost 15 lbs with this technique in 2 weeks run 20 sec rest 40 secs really works THANK YOU

  • i think the key point to make though is not everyone is capable of intense cardio, you have to work yourself up to that point. so anyone who is looking at this trying to lose weight don't over challenge yourself. i am female and the advice about building muscle is correct if you want to burn fat you need to build muscle and don't be roped into diets because you lose muscle not fat.

  • I wouldn't go as far to say I did a light jog but for me it was fast enough that I didn't feel i was finding it hard to catch my breath which is another reason I don't jog or run too much. I managed to keep the same pace for 15 minutes and I knew in my mind I could go for longer but the remaining 15 minutes i had left on the treadmill i spent doing uphill walking. I burnt the same amount of calories i normally would just walking but im not saying id stop jogging because i enjoyed it

  • I had a bit of a break from the gym but I started going again in July to lose some weight. I read the best way to lose weight is to do high incline walking as it is less damaging to your bodies tissue and you burn just as many calories as you would if you were jogging/running. I've lost 9lbs since July with healthy eating too. I use to be a strong runner when I was young but then i smoked so i was useless but i havent smoked now in over 2 years so ive thought i'd give running a go at the gym

  • there is some new research out of europe that shows that 15 seconds on 15 seconds off works best.

  • @nyclear i figured, did you find it to be true?

  • i run exactly the way he runs. i jog my first mile about 7. walk and recover the next lap. run about 8 or 9mph the next lap. recover and do that for the second mile. then the third mile i keep it chill and jogg at 6. would recommend the system however there is a more chance of injurgy from going fast slow and fast. make sure always strecth well before running.

  • so if i do 10mph for 1 mile & then another later on the day it that good enough? or should i aim higher?

  • @MasterFProductions Do whatever you can just try to increase it when it starts getting dull. I'm up to 2.5miles 4 days out of the week. I'm doing 12mph for 25sec & 1min break. I'm a former college football Defensive Back so we do intense running like this all the time. The short the time but the more intense the more fast burns off. There is a guy at my gym that can run 12mph for 40secs & breaks for only 1min20secs for an solid mile that is impressive. So good luck dude

  • @lilrog0909 thanks

  • this training is called fartlek

  • Thanks! Just got a treadmill. to help burn fat would it be better during the morning or at night after dinner?

  • @NightHawk0730 You should workout at night if you're a male. We naturally release hormones to help us workout as the sun goes down. Crazy stuff, eh?

  • @TheHaasels Do you have a source to this?

  • great video, well said!

  • Thank you... I needed this message!

  • Awesome demonstartion yuri.

txs n vl surely try to decrease de body fat from now onwards.

    cheers

  • does running burn all body fat

  • @weedyak you moving ur whole body so yeah

  • @weedyak When you burn fat it does it throughout your whole body evenly

  • @silverhalo22 you cannot work a body part and get fat to be burned there. So sit ups doesnt burn belly fat. And each person takes off fat differently in different parts of their body.

  • @nyclear Yeah i knew that

  • yes dude

  • thank you so much. its like every extra minute your on the tredmill its like temptation to stop gets worse and worse. thanks to this no temptation will hit me in 20 min

  • i love this!im a beginner in the gym..and i saw video same advice that you gave..i did this today in the treadmill,i almost faint.hehehe maximum heart rate but maybe i pushed it too much, but other than that i feel great!.

  • Very good video/demonstration, Yuri. It was helpful to not only describe your presentation, but the fact that you jumped on the treadmill helped me process exactly what I need to do. I have been guilty in the past about just running at the status quo 6.9 mph. I'm ready to do intervals. At age 44 and female, I'm needing a little extra fat burning on my outer thighs which I've never had a problem with before. Thanks alot!

  • I love interval training. It's the only type I find fun on a treadmill lol. I do 30 s and 30 s

  • im not that fit and i dont think i can manage to that for the whole 15 mins :P, is it ok to start at 5 mins first with this intensity concept and work my way up to 10, 15 and so on?

  • This is certainly a very good way to effectively and quickly burn fat in the shortest possible time. I find a lot of people actually do not know of this type of cardio training, which is most odd since people do want to lose fat, and get fit.
