  • Good job getting it off track. Sadly I know this story all to well as mine let loose at 6800 rpm on the front straight of TWS. Lot quite a few pistons...

  • was that due to an ls1 f body oil pan?

something with the pick up ?..

  • Correct. Spun multiple rod bearings and threw several rods out. F-body pans are known to have pick-up issues. Most guys say you're good to run a quart high, but this doesn't always pan out.

  • so what did u decide to do after that. ls2 or ls1 again with different pan ?

  • Another LS1, same pan (C5 pan will not clear the subframe) but added an accusump.

  • tires fall off?

  • Tires fall off, seriously? Haha, I was losing oil pressure while braking/turning which lead to the demise of the motor.

  • NNNNOOOOO that sucks, time for an LS3!

  • screw that....modded bore and stoked LSX

  • Driver error? The engine blew dude.

  • Looks like driver error to me, haha
