well...the arrangement was beautifully done.

but you transposed it WAY too far down for my tastes. and be careful with the nasality - at times it sounded like it was a tad whiney at parts. try making the notes crisper and don't be afraid to belt it out.

not saying that it's bad, it's just that when you shift it too low, it tends to make songs sound "tired." but really it's just a personal preference.

and don't worry about the belting comment, it was just a suggestion. i do agree that quality is the major concern when recording.

"transposing" is when you lower the key signuature of a song from how it's originally performed.

the original song was recorded in Gm, but when you transpose something, you t"shift" the whole song into lower notes...so to speak. the key you performed it in was F#m, 13 half-steps below the original key signature.

i've considered doing that - but of course, it is a feat that's easier said than done.

The next song that i really want to tackle by evanescence is "Going Under". But its such a challenge to take a "harder" song and making a piano arrangement of it.

For "My Last Breath" it was surprisingly easy, but i don't know how it will be for other songs.

i can sing and play at the same time, but in this recording it was done separately. Because if i do it all at once, its too much for my mic to handle and i get audio distortion.

Plus, it easier to record vocals seperately when you have to layer them, which i did.

but playing while singing... not too hard (for me anyways).
